Big molasses on the initial smell. Candied dates and some . In the mouth, orange peel and potpourri. Oak. Maybe a hint of cinnamon. Finishes with some spice. Lower on intensity of flavour than the Canada #1 I just had. But still mucho fun. Had as part of Alambique flight at Green Zone.

This rum is aged 22 months in new acacia casks and 4 months in red wine ex casks. On the nose and palate, these notes of pine are perfectly in evidence. It brings an extra freshness to this cane juice. It's very well-balanced and truly gourmet.
