8,4:On the nose, esters, metallic patina, ripe tropical fruits like banana and pineapple, vegetal molasses with briny olive, roasted wood notes with cream toffee, pastry, fruitcake, spicy and rubber, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the rum becomes slightly dirty, smoky, various new notes arise, like gingerbread, fudge, roasted nuts, vanilla, the molasses is grassy and flowery, red fruits join. 8,2:On the palate, the attack is fruity with tropical fruits like banana and pineapple, overripe, later red fruits, medicinal with esters, metallic, soapy, the wood is roasted, tasty, sweet with pastry, caramel, cookie dough, perhaps yeast, spicy with ginger, peppery, as the molasses is vegetal with briny olive. 8,1:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, slightly metallic, as overripe tropical, citrus fruits pair vegetal, grassy, herbaceous and flowery molasses, roasted oak, spicy and smoky. Still watching mountain time trials at the Tour de France. Had expected more from this Jamaican. Tropical fruits like banana and pineapple as well as esters are only barely noticeable and not as distinct as usual. Also, as Johannes already wrote, very alcoholic.

I find this bottling a bit lacking, the tropical fruits and banana are recognizable, but overall it still feels a bit flat. I'd rather guess a low ester mark here. Good sipper, but unfortunately nothing more.
