Shows a clear TDL signature with a balanced interplay of fruit, wood, and spice. On the palate, it's bold yet still round with a pleasant balance. The fruit feels ripe and sweetish, accompanied by spicy and slightly bitter notes. Overall, a solid and honest rum, but it lacks a bit of depth and complexity to reach the top tier.

At first sniff I honestly questioned if this was TDL in my glass. Took a while to open up but once it did, those familiar fruity notes started peeking through and I knew my sample was fortunately not mixed. The profile is decent overall, with pleasant warmth and a surprisingly strong minty note on the finish that gives it a fresh kick. Unfortunately, as with many Rum Sharks I’ve tried, the alcohol feels a bit rough and sticks out too much. Better integration would’ve easily pushed this past the 8.5 mark. Still, solid at 8.4.

I know Pepa wrote in advance that "there's a lot of mint," so I'm quite looking forward to it 😊 I take a sniff and yeah, on the first inhale it's clear that it's Trinidad. The nose isn't overloaded with technicality, but the character is absolutely obvious, that unmistakable citrusy/technical scent. I wonder, is there mint? I don't quite smell it, more like menthol. So let's drink it. Yeah, there it is 😊 So don't expect that wormwood/petroleum punch like the AM RumCZ/SK had, but a smooth, drinkable Angostura with mint, light technical notes, and wood. It doesn't have, or rather I don't taste bitterness in the finish, which bothers me with some Angosturas. It reminds me a bit of LMdR #5, which compared to #4 is a bit gentler, sweeter, and less technical. I'm happy, a drinkable Angostura, and I think out of the 3 bottles I've tried so far, I'll finish this one first.

In the aroma mint, herbs, vanilla, wood, yellow fruit... I also feel hints of caramel-chocolate creaminess?? In taste vanilla, mint, chocolate, more technical, wood. Great minty finish. This one really succeeded. No mint-menthol mouthwash, mint is beautifully subtle, not dominant. And personally, I was pleasantly surprised by the creamy tones in the aroma.
