#6708 27.04.2026 Enjoying a few samples after my bike training while listening to Armin van Buuren on Spotify. Not the best bottling they have made but still OK. Woody with nice fruit, caramel, chocolate and spices.

So, das ist der letzte für heute und der letzte von Filip Sikula, danke für die ganzen Samples. Ist auch ein eher süßer Rum, aber jetzt gerade mag ich das wieder. Vanille, Kakao, Schokolade aber auch Holz und Piment haben wir hier.

Typical Venezuelan aroma, but strong on the palate. Like drinking Pampero Aniversario with higher proof. It's a rum for the ideal transition from non-rum drinker to rum drinker.

The nose is dominated by wood, honey, vanilla, sherry, a certain kind of nuts, dried fruit. After sipping, you feel strength and sweetness, the woodiness unfolds, dried tropical fruit stands out, bourbon is noticeable, after a while I realize that the sweetness is finished off by sherry. The nuts in the nose turn out not to be nuts but coffee beans with bitter chocolate. The first sip didn't taste good to me and I wondered who it is actually intended for, because for me it is quite sweet and for sweet tooths maybe too strong. After the third sip, we became friends, bitter chocolate remains in the mouth, the strength recedes. Actually, I could imagine pairing it with bitter chocolate 😊 I'm quite looking forward to what my non-rum friends will say when they arrive, whether the strength will be too much for them, but I would almost say maybe yes. Whoever is looking for a stronger rum and doesn't need completely technical tones and enjoys bitter chocolate together with a bit of oak barrel and dried fruit + sherry, will find themselves here.

The taste is definitely full, sweet and great for begginers. The cask taste is pretty strong. But - you feel a huge taste of liquer in the rum. Sweet and cherry liquer..
