#6710 27.04.2026 Enjoying a few samples after my bike training while listening to Armin van Buuren on Spotify. These bottlings are pretty expensive compared to the local price, but they are usally pretty good. This one is really nice and fruity with some tea, smoke and olive.

A vegetal first nose, dry herbs and old hemp rope. Fresh tropical fruit, a little spicy. I smell Bordeaux barrel and overripe banana. Sweetness in the background. Volatile (vinegar) and red fruits (black cherries). The palate is rather soft and full-bodied, a little spicy (volatile), the fruit rises, fresh tropical fruit and overripe banana. The finish is long, with all the aromas descending gently. Fresh and dark at the same time. Incense-like finish.

What a rum! This can only work at the hands of a madman, and boy did it work here. A vegetal nose wit loads of dark berries, orange peel and loads of rancio from the poyferre Cask. On the palate than the volatile of wine, roasted pineapple and dried cherries. Later it becomes a bit exotic with mango and incense. This is, as all renaissance are intense and on the brink of being too much. This is rewarded by a fantastic result on the edge
