Despite the crown-and-heritage packaging, most tasters land on the same verdict: sweet, soft and pretty easy-going rather than deep. Expect caramel, vanilla and a light sugarcane character, with the odd floral, anise or grassy note peeking through from the juice-and-molasses blend. A couple of people found it a touch thin and short on character, but it goes down without a fight.

On The Rocks: On the nose a moderate Agricole and green grass aroma with some hints of sweetness and spice. Taste reveals a very smooth flavour of mild Agricole, fruit and spice with a little woody notes. Finish is medium with the sweetness and spice tapering off. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose a slight sweetness and Pepsi zero. No real distinct aroma. Taste has a strong and immediate punch of sweetness (still very smooth) with it tapering off quickly. This is quite delicious mixed and would drink multiple.

Got a sample of this rum from RR Tasting Club. Emperor Rum Heritage is a blend of aged rums from the distillation of pure and fresh sugarcane juice and molasses. Overall a rum that I mostly characterize as a Spanish styled rum thats too sweet for me.

Pleasant without more. The nose is very floral, a little herbaceous, aniseed, slightly woody. In mouth we find this aniseed and floral side.
