J'espérais avoir l'occasion de goûter ce rhum et je suis bien content d'avoir pu le faire. Un nez très doux, fruité. Du bois plutôt jeune. Des esters sans excès. Ça s'annonce bien. Première impression confirmée avec une rhum qui m'a d'abord semblé plutôt consensuel, un joli blend avec un Worthy Park dominant et peut-être du long Pond pour l'acidité. En luis donnant du temps, le rhum a en fait beaucoup plus de choses à dire. Le bois est là, joliment fondu. Les fruits mûrs, mais pas trop. Des esters maîtrisés. C'est extrêmement bien fait. Une touche de cappuccino en fin de bouche. Une acidité légère. Le tout à un degré d'alcool idéal pour moi. Bravo à Quentin Belien et Roger Caroni pour cette superbe sélection.

After the long delivery time, I decanted the bottle straight away. On the nose, the WP and the NY 94 (cake), also a little sour cream from the HD. Nice balance on the palate between fruit, spice and latte. Very drinkable this thing!

The nose is very intense. The overripe pineapple spreads throughout the entire kitchen as soon as it is bottled. Intense estery notes and plenty of power on the palate. Long lasting finish. A strong drop, but for me not in the top league. There is too much ester at the start for me, which drowns out too much.

Ein guter Blend, auch wenn das Herausschmecken der unterschiedlichen Bestandteile schwer fällt. Sehr präsente Ester- und Ananasaromen, dazu leichte Holznoten in Nase und Gaumen. Im Gaumen kommt eine gewisse würze dazu, welche bis lang in den Abgang anhält. Persönlich empfinde ich den Alkohol nicht perfekt eingebunden.

I've now had it both neat and as a mixer in the CubaLibre. Unfortunately, it couldn't really convince me with either. It could best be compared with a Great House from Hampden, but it would also lose this comparison. A solid bottling, but unfortunately nothing more. I didn't taste the New Yarmouth component at all. The low ABV makes it seem a little diluted.

Ziemlich funky und leider nicht ganz so kräftig. Easy sipper für den Sommer würde ich sagen. Sehr fruchtig mit leichtem Ester. Alles in allem etwas dünn. Vielen Dank an Martin für das Sample und besonders für den netten Kontakt.

Solider Blend, der für mich aber nicht ganz rund wirkt. Typische Jamaika Noten mit fruchtigen Estern, gelben Früchten etc. Alkohol ist nicht gut eingebunden und der ganze Blend wirkt für mich nicht harmonisch. Zum Sipping ok, aber Sample reicht.
