A beautiful warm, ample and rich nose with tropical fruits, a gourmand and pastry side and mechanical workshop flavors. The wood is well integrated and I feel a little metallic side. The first palate is a bit diluted, the fruits gain amplitude, then everything drops quite quickly. A palate clearly below the nose. The finish is rather short, especially for a Caroni, and woody, bitter and metallic notes take over some fruity, pastry and gourmand notes. You feel the mechanical workshop at the end, but without the fruits, it seems too dry. The empty glass settles everything. The bottle has just been opened and this rum will surely gain points with oxidation.
