Auto-translatedTasted at Burlington Wine and Spirits and didn’t quite love it enough for the price tag. However, it had a distinct funk that I loved and I would say it’s the rum most reminiscent of something Jamaican that isn’t from Jamaica. I like this more than Puyuma but both were wonderful.
Big oak, cherry wood on the nose. Potent up front, with a light medicine vibe. Pours a deep dark amber. Heavy on wood in the mouth as well, as many Renaissance rums go. Raspberry, plum. A light finish of pepper on the tip of the tongue. Medium finish. Sample shared by Yaro.
