Pour this after dinner, not before — it drinks like dessert in a glass. Built on aged Saint James agricole but sweetened and steeped with prunes and Bourbon vanilla, it lands syrupy and rich: plum, caramel, vanilla and a touch of chocolate over damp oak. Several tasters call it extremely sweet; one flat-out treated it as a rum liqueur rather than a straight agricole.

Discovered at Rhum Fest 2025. 👃 & 😋 Damp wood, chemical vanilla, kitchen spices, clove, dried and candied fruits, plums and prunes, fruit alcohol, combo of soft caramel and chocolate, syrupy sensation in the mouth. ⛳ Rather short, it has the advantage of being easy to drink. Sensation of fruit brandy and candied fruits in alcohol. 💡 A spirit drink based on rum that has the merit of being financially accessible (who said La Flibuste?). This is clearly not the kind of product I like, but it will find its audience among fans of soft, round and syrupy spirits.

#5702 28.09.2025 Day two of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This is a very sweet rum, extremely sweet actually. The wood is well hidden in the sweet notes of plums and prunes with vanilla and some light nutts.

With 100g per liter sweetened Agricole. I don't really understand why? 😂 You can drink it but if I want sugar in my cocktail I can add it myself?? Strange idea...

Here is a bottle I find really nice! Even though it's an arranged nectar, I really like this reminder of the St James markers, its woody and spicy notes. The whole is perfectly rounded by a just right dosage of sugar, prune and vanilla aroma. A little treat for dessert.

👃🏼 = the nose is intense with a very vanilla sweetness mixing sugarcane with caramel, prunes, and a slight woodiness. 👄 = the smooth texture and candied fruits add to the dessert side of this spirit. With a decent and woody length, the finish reminds us that this is a 40% vol drink. Here is a seductive rum liqueur that I recommend more as a digestif than an aperitif 😋
