Most tasters land on "a good Worthy Park, not a great one" — no ester bomb here, just ripe tropical fruit with banana up front, coconut, honey and a lot of old varnished oak. On the nose I first suspected a Foursquare or Belize...coconut, light chocolate, honey and a little banana...not at all like a WP...but on the palate it is very clear...initially a caramelly sweetness, followed shortly afterwards by an intense woody spicy side. And unfortunately also an alcoholic side... so much so that it is disturbing. This unfortunately costs a few points. The finish is medium long and quite spicy

8,8:On the nose, roasted wood notes like caramel, nuts, chocolate, spicy vanilla, a bit smoky, overripe tropical fruits like banana and coconut, dairy notes, floral, grassy molasses, round, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, dried, candied fruits arise, gummi bears, yellow fruits, sweet honey, medicinal touch, pastry, spicy with allspice. 8,7:On the palate, the attack is fruity with banana, citrus, yellow fruits, pineapple, fermented, creamy, oily with dairy, wood is toasted with pastry, caramel, spicy with vanilla, allspice, tannic, molasses is fresh with tea, grassy with lemon grass, sweet with honey, candied. 8,6:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, with smoky, toasted oak notes, spicy, fruity with banana, yellow fruits, fermented, dairy notes, molasses is vegetal. A rich nose with old varnished wood and ripe tropical fruits. Great balance between wood and fruits. The palate is disappointing compared to the nose, the fruits are not really present. The woodiness is very marked, dark. The finish is long and reveals a very pleasant pastry side in the middle of all this wood. A nose much better in direct comparison than the Habitation Velier 2006, but the palate is held back.

Not bad at all, even though I'm not really a Worthy Park fan. I accidentally left it standing a bit too long before I actually tried it. That seems to have worked to its advantage. Really tasty.

Not an outstanding Jamaican, but drinkable and tasty. It also works without an ester bomb... Fruity nose, with banana, yellow fruits, a little coconut. No surprises on the palate in the finish. The alcohol is not disturbing. Supplement: very tasty in a daiquiri!

Jamaica without Hampden Tasting: awesome bottling that makes you want more. One of the best WPs I've been able to try. Lots of tropical fruits with banana in focus, some young wood, lots of spices and esters.
