LMDW Worthy Park Jamaica 2006 V&B (Flag Series)

Most tasters land on "a good Worthy Park, not a great one" — no ester bomb here, just ripe tropical fruit with banana up front, coconut, honey and a lot of old varnished oak. Several called the nose the best part, with the palate leaning dark and woody behind it. At 57.6% the alcohol shows; one member found it borders on distracting.

The community says
  • Ripe tropical fruit
  • Rich woody nose

How does LMDW Worthy Park Jamaica 2006 V&B (Flag Series) taste?

Aggregated from 11 community reviews.

Fruity, oak-heavy Worthy Park without the ester punch A well-liked but not standout WP: the nose wins fans, the woody palate divides them, and a couple note the heat pokes through. One even mixed it happily into a daiquiri.

Worthy Park

Avg Rating 8.0/10 over 360 Rums

Worthy Park is Jamaica's true cane-to-glass estate. Its land was granted in 1670, it runs the island's oldest and most efficient sugar factory, and it makes rum from molasses it produces itself. After falling silent in 1962, the distillery was rebuilt from scratch in 2005 and now bottles some of the most respected modern estate rum in the Caribbean.
