#6191 04.01.2026 Enjoying a few samples while listening to some nice trance from Krama. Nose Fresh, medium intense, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, light cinnamon, faint caramel. Palate Round, balanced, oily, light wood, faint smoke, raisin, light banana, light caramel, faint chocolate. Finish Long, light wood, oily, light roasted, dried fruit, light cherry, naturally sweet, faint chocolate. Empty glass Vanilla, chocolate, light caramel, dried fruit, faint floral.

Really surprised me. At 56 years I would have expected more wood. On the nose fruits in a wooden bowl. On the palate the fruits come right away with cherry plum, somewhat sweet and everything very nicely embedded in wood. Nice long finish.

As always, I'm a bit skeptical about the Cubans. A bit sweet, not woody, it’s more dominated by tobacco and fruity notes leaning towards sherry. The finish is medium-length. Overall, quite pleasant to drink.

Sehr komplexe Nase mit Gewürzen, Holz und leicht stechendem Alkohol. Im Gaumen rund, vollmundig und sehr ausgewogen zwischen Würze und Fass. Er hat keinen ausgeprägten Whisky-Touch, sondern wirkt harmonischer und vielschichtiger. Mir fehlt etwas der ganz lange, tief nachhallende Abgang und insgesamt etwas mehr Spannung oder Liebe. Ein Kubaner, den man probiert haben sollte!
