Magnificent nose with notes of plums, fresh herbs, and ripe tropical fruits. On the palate, it's complex, you can really feel the influence of the cognac cask, all very well balanced. The finish is a bit short but it's a very beautiful rum.

Someone started talking to me during my tasting so no real notes. Just vibes. This had a brilliant funk that I need to revisit to describe. I really wish I bought a bottle because it was so complex that I need more time with it.

Read full review →Yet its accessibility is higher than some of the more aggressive pot-still bottlings: the Cognac cask provides balance. Puyuma offers a glimpse into Renaissance’s creative range. It demonstrates how a high-proof Taiwanese rum can adapt to a refined finishing cask. Another intriguing and interesting bottling.
