#6437 06.03.2026 Relaxing after a busy and fast passing week. Listening to some nice Trance by Sonic Species. I just love these rums because they are, on average, pretty good and well balanced. Nice sugarcane with some citrus and floral notes. Salty olives are also part of the mix and though this is a mixer it also does a pretty good sipper.

This pure juice rum from Martinique reminds me a bit of a Marie Galante because of its dry herbaceous, iodized side, but less dry. I have vegetal notes of pear. It's not necessarily what I look for in rums from this origin, but I admit it remains at a good level.

Clearly below the 2017 which I know very well. Because of the very present peppery finish which I don't have at all on the 2017.
