Planteray Prestige Cellar selected by WAREHOUSE #1 2010
Most owners land in the same place: a clean, well-made Saint Lucia pot-still that's easy to like. Pineapple, passionfruit and bright citrus lead, with nutmeg and allspice, a woody backbone and just a whiff of medicinal ester underneath. At 52.9% the alcohol sits surprisingly quiet, so it drinks like an everyday sipper rather than a beast you wrestle. Several tasters call it fruity from start to finish.
The community says- Bright tropical fruit
- Well-hidden alcohol
- But: Slightly bitter finish

How does Planteray Prestige Cellar selected by WAREHOUSE #1 2010 taste?
Aggregated from 31 community reviews.
Clean, fruity Saint Lucia everyday sipper Widely liked as a clean, fruity daily sipper — allspice, citrus and a slightly bitter woody finish. If you want a loud ester bomb, this stays gentler.

8,5:On the nose, overripe, fermented tropical fruits, red, citrus fruits, strong allspice, medicinal notes like esters, menthol, roasted wood notes like chocolate, pastry, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, dried fruits like prunes arise, bananas, delicious fruitcake, flowery molasses and some smokiness. 8,4:On the palate, the attack is strong with allspice, esters, fermented, overripe tropical, citrus fruits and roasted wood notes like leather, nuts, caramel, confectionery, slightly salty, as vanilla turns out as rounding act.The molasses is herbaceous. On oxidation the rum becomes slightly bitter, some rubber is also noticed. 8,5The finish is long, dry&tannic, more balanced, as the notes from palate linger on..

Geiler easy Sipper!

Clean and well-made rum that feels smooth without any sharp edges. Nothing really jumps out as a flaw, but also nothing grabs you by the collar either. The tropical-citrus profile is pleasant, with some woody and slightly bitter notes rounding out the finish. I wouldn’t call it exciting, but it’s solid and reliable. A nice daily sipper that delivers just enough to earn a respectable 8.2 in my books.

Typical Lucia notes, but he seems strangely young.

Review by Michal Jurka
On the nose nice mix of sweet tropical fruits (pineapple, passionfruit, banana) with freshness of the citruses, wood, aromatic spices like nutmeg. Overall it's quite sweet (do I even get hints of marzipan??) and for me it lacks the edge of technical/chemical notes. However they appear more strongly in the taste, with hints of menthol along the strong fruity and woody notes.
