"The best of two worlds" is how one taster puts it: a Guyana–Jamaica blend where funky Worthy Park ester and tropical fruit trade off with the woody, anise-driven Port Mourant side. Creamy toffee mouthfeel, ripe pear and vanilla, then a dry, roasty finish. Most call it a balanced, easy everyday sipper — a few just don't think the two islands click.

8,6:On the nose, the first impression we get is very fruity with tropical fruits like banana, oranges and peaches, green fruits, medicinal with esters, funky, vegetal, grassy and spicy with vanilla, anise, creamy, sweet with cream toffee. On aeration, pastry is out, the wood is toasted and molasses is fresh with tea, herbaceous tones, flowery and earthy with pencil shavings. 8,6:On the palate, the attack is very tasty, creamy(bourbon vanilla-Punch ice cream) , slightly sweet with light roastedness and caramel, cream, confectionery, spicy and salty, fruity with pear, citrus and tropical fruits, especially banana, some pineapple, the molasses is grassy and herbaceous, on oxidation metallic patina arrives. 8,5:The finish is medium long, dry, less fruity, more roasted with crunchy bread, smokiness, dark chocolate, the molasses is flowery, herbaceous and grassy, earthy with pencil shavings, there is some rubber and slight bitterness... Bor ne, mein Rum ist dieser Blend überhaupt nicht. Finde Guyana und Jamaika passen 0,0 zusammen. Klar erkennt man hier beide Richtungen, tropische Früchte und Ester auf der einen, Röstigkeit auf der anderen Seite. Passt für mich aber nicht zusammen...

After numerous cross-island blends that were nothing, this one convinces me positively. The nose is dominated by tropical fruits, esters and cream toffee. The palate is then much woodier, a little toasted, fruit, caramel and vanilla. In the finish, the sensation changes from creamy to dry, with primarily roasted aromas and vanilla. A really good blend!

Starts with an ester-rich nose and then wanders into the fruity, slightly orangy corner. Aniseed, a typical PM marker, is also clearly present. The creamy texture is pleasing on the palate. The blend is successful. Both Worthy Park and Port Mourant come through well. It's not a high-end story, of course, but it tastes good.

A slightly funky nose with light esters, fruits and creamy toffee greets you at the beginning. The taste is extremely round. Initially more PM, with the WP remaining more present on the finish. Super creamy overall. Has a good PLV and is an excellent sipper. A great summer rum and an excellent blend

Exciting, accessible rhum with a creamy character and creamy mouthfeel. Notes of sweet cream candy mingle with subtle fruit sweetness, ripe pear and vanilla. Soft, without rough edges, a real feel-good sipper for relaxed moments.

Mhm, how should I put it, in my opinion this bottling has a lot of hints of a fruit schnapps/pear brandy. I think that's a bit of a shame, so my conclusion is that it's actually good, but not quite my cup of tea.

Nice blend, but I had hoped for a bit more from the story at Rummonday. Lacks a bit of power and fruitiness. Still, the alcohol is well integrated and it's fully okay as a sipper. But not quite my thing.

Nice blend of PM and WP. The two profiles actually alternate nicely on the nose and in the mouth. Subtle sweetness, light pastry notes and something spicy from the PM. Alongside and alternating with subtle esters and fruit from the WP. Some wood also comes through. I like it and it's very easy to drink.

Still have one more Rumclub sample to review. Interesting blend of Guyana and Jamaican rums on paper. I am totally new to sea wynde blends. On the nose: At first i get ester, funk and grassy notes, but as the rum opens it developes in to more anis and creamy toffee notes with Jamaican funk still being there. Taste: I get those mild vegetal, herbal, citrus notes that i associate with agricole rums. Woody. Peppery. Creamy mouthfell with little bit of bitterness. There is a touch of sweetness in there that makes this quite balanced. Finish: Very dry. Short-medium finish This rum was totally different than what expected it to be. I am not dissapointed, its just the flavour profiles didnt offer me that much and the finish didnt really offer anything. For me, this rum fits as a session rum enjoyed in between several different rums.

Anfangs zeigt sich in der Nase zunächst der Worthy Park mit dezenten Estern, tropischen Früchten. Mit Luft treten zunehmend die typischen Port-Mourant-Noten von Holz, Anis und etwas Lakritz hervor. Am Gaumen verbinden sich beide Stilrichtungen zu einer sehr harmonischen Einheit mit cremigem Mundgefühl und gut eingebundenem Alkohol. Der Abgang ändert am stimmigen Eindruck nichts – ein ausgewogener Daily Sipper.

Eine gute Rum mit leichte nasse. Nasse ist schön leicht fruchtig, süß, frische Holz und funky abef dafür am Gaumen ist intensiv sehr Holzig, alte Holz, trockene Früchte, metallisch, bißchen Salzlake. Noten Vanille und pfefferig mit so niedrigen ABV deutlich scharf. In Abgang sehr warm und Holzig

The revival of a (admittedly unknown to me) classic. Taste-wise a mix of Guyana and, much more restrained, Jamaica, which would fit well into the earlier times. An easy sipper, but for me personally almost a bit unremarkable or interchangeable, I liked other blends from Spirit of Rum much better so far.

Wirklich sehr schöner Blend aus ungestümen und jungen High Ester Worthy Park und gesetzten kontinental gereiften Guyana, ich tippe auf PM. Trotz des geringen WP Anteil, strahlt der Rum eine enorme Jamaika Dominanz aus. High Ester WP ist mMn sehr speziell, aufgrund der enormen Marzipan und Bittermandel Note, muss man das schon echt mögen. Hier ist das alles merklich da, jedoch ist das für mich auf jeden Fall noch vertretbar und gerade noch so wenig, dass die süßen Noten des Guyanas angenehm mitspielen können. Kurz gesagt: hier paaren sich vergorene, tropische Fruchtnoten mit süßen Vanille Noten und feiner Würze des deutlich älteren Guyana Anteils. Zwar nicht perfekt, aber dennoch sehr nah dran. Im Mund ist er angenehm süß. Der Alkohol ist sehr gut eingebunden, die Trinkstärke ist mit knapp über 48% wie man es erwarten würde. Insgesamt dominieren hier eher die würzige Noten. Schöner Sipper
