Precious Liquors T.D.L The UK Rum Club (UKRC) 2010
One taster pegged it as "untypical" for a TDL — closer to a Spanish-style profile than the tropical Trinidad you'd expect. Stone fruit leads: apricot and plum with green apple, pastry and brown sugar, then barrel, ginger, black pepper and a cappuccino note. The menthol builds through a long, dry, tannic finish and mostly takes over at the end. At 62.1% the heat shows but sits nicely integrated.

How does Precious Liquors T.D.L The UK Rum Club (UKRC) 2010 taste?
Aggregated from 11 community reviews.
Fruity cask-strength TDL with a big menthol finish A well-liked continental-aged TDL that most find fruity and complex, though a few call the nose harsh and the menthol finish too dominant. Water helps.

8,4:On the nose, roasted wood notes like pastry, roasted nuts, butterscotch, spicy with vanilla, some metallic patina, menthol and dried apricots, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, green apple, plum, berries and citrus fruits arise, some sweetness with cream toffee, cocoa, slight smokiness and in between, a hint of cheese. 8,8:On the palate, the attack is delicious, creamy with roasted wood notes like cream toffee, butterscotch, pastry, roasted nuts, later burnt sugar, quite spicy with vanilla, ginger, black pepper, pairing fruits like sour cherry, dried apricots, citrus fruits, pineapple and later plum, berries and melons, and menthol, as thick molasses is obvious on oxidation. 8,5:The finish is long, dry&tannic, slightly metallic, medicinal with menthol, less tasty as on the palate, as molasses is slightly earthy with tobacco, the wood roasted with coffee, caramel and roasted nuts, spicy and the fruits dried and yellow..

On the nose: Mild on the nose. Woody, dried fruits, burnt sugar and vanilla. Taste: Fruity. Plums and apricots. Cappuccino notes after that. Little bit of menthol in the body. High abv is present but it is nicely integrated. Little bit of barrel notes. Caramel notes and little bit of vanilla. Finish: medium finish, dry with menthol and roasted coffee notes. Propa rum picked by the UK Rum Club innit. Nice one. I really enjoyed sipping this sample.

UK RumClub exclusive bottling from Precious Liquors TDL. Fantastic selection. Fruity notes on the nose, mainly stone fruit - apricot, plum - but also green apple and pastry. The same fruit on the palate, plus menthol, cask, ginger, black pepper, toffee cream, pastry and cappuccino. The finish is long and dominated by the menthol note.

UK RumClub exclusive Precious Liquors TDL bottling. Fantastic pick. Tones of fruit in the nose, mostly stone fruits - apricot, plum - also green apple and pastries. On the palate, the same fruit plus menthol, barrel, ginger, black pepper, crème toffee, pastries and cappuccino. It has a long finish dominated by the menthol note.
