8,5:On the nose, fermented, overripe strawberries, orange, pineapple, esters and rubber, funky, intense, roasted wood notes with caramel, pastry, spicy vanilla, vegetal molasses, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, orange peel, bitter orange and some berries are out, the rubber is burnt, fruits slightly rotten, as there is a hint of cheese. 8,6:On the palate, the attack is fruity with overripe, fermented strawberry, pineapple and bitter orange, later kiwi, burnt, smoky, roasted with BBQ tones, salty, peppery, funky and medicinal with esters, rubber, slightly pungent, as the molasses is grassy, flowery, vegetal, with hints of eucalyptus.Sweet notes like chocolate, vanilla, caramelized nicely balance pungency... 8,4:The finish is long, dry&tannic, funky, the palate notes linger on, there is a Cognac touch, perhaps hints of peat and black tea...

Savanna RumX Tasting 26.09.25: Dies CZ-Abfüllung gefällt mir recht gut..das Zusammenspiel von den Estern und Gewürzen passt hervorragend und ergibt eine schöne Funkiness. Einzig der Abgang ist relativ kurz

Für mich ein eher unspektakulärer Savanna, bei dem die typischen Marker wie Erdbeere, Ester und Tropische Früchte zwar vorhanden sind, der Gesamteindruck durch Scharfkantigkeit und übermäßigen Holzeinfluss im Gaumen jedoch keine erstklassige Bewertung zulässt.

Savanna Masterclass. Der nächste leckere Savanna, nix besonders herausragendes, aber trotzdem gut. Jedenfalls ist er am Gaumen sehr fruchtig, vor allem Erdbeere sticht hervor. Ansonsten leicht holzig und Ester ist auch erkennbar.

Super funky abgefahrener und verhältnismäßig junger Grand Arome. Ungewöhnliche Aromatik nach saftiger und leicht saurer vollreifer Ananas, Kiwi und Erdbeere. Dazu BBQ Aromen und rosa Pfeffer, Orangenschale und Schnapspralinen. Intensive Tannine und Säure im Abgang die wohl vom Cognac Fass kommt. Gefällt mir ausgesprochen gut, nur der Alkohol könnte minimal besser integriert sein.

Ganz Netten Savanna. Nase etwas Zurückhaltend und kaum aussagekräftig. Früchte etwas Ester Vanille und Kaugummi... Am Gaumen der hier klar besser ist kommen leckere Tropical Früchte zusammen mit Erdbeeren Kaugummi und Ester . Einzig der nicht gut eingebundene Alkohol schwächt die Performance 😅

Edit: tried it again at my leisure, it still didn't really convince me. From the first impression, this bottling didn't really pick me up at first. I think I have to try it again in peace, but it was also the last one I tried that evening/night. I'll give it another chance and then give it a rating.

Im Mund steigt eine fruchtige Esterparty aus überreifen Ananas, Erdbeeren und Kiwis. Ein latentes Kaugummiaroma lässt es zusammen mit der erstaunlichen Süße schon fast künstlich wirken. Wieder eine schöne Abfüllung von Savanna, die Nase schön funky und fruchtig, mit Ananas und Erdbeeren. Am Gaumen kommen angenehme Süße und das richtige Maß an Holz hinzu. Etwas Piment und Pfeffer… Mittellanger Abgang, leicht adstringent.

Sehr intensives und aromatisch dichtes Profil mit typischen Grand Arôme Noten. In der Nase vergorene Früchte, Ester und eine deutliche Lösungsmittelprägung, begleitet von Zitrus und einer Spur Kräuter. Am Gaumen kräftig und vielschichtig mit fruchtiger Süße, Würze und einer markanten Frische. Der lange Abgang ist lebendig und aromatisch. Eine Abfüllung, die viel Freude macht und Lust auf mehr weckt.

Palate Medium intense, light wood, peach, light ester, light berries, faint smoke, light chocolate, faint rubber, light tea. Finish Long and warm, fruity,, naturaly sweet, oily, light caramel, light chocolate, dried fruit.
