Your whole room ends up smelling of esters — one taster says the glue and tropical fruit fill the flat. There's a lot of glue in the glass, then citrus, raisin and banana, with a little smoke underneath. At 46% the alcohol sits well integrated, so it reads as a daily sipper rather than a brute. Approachable for a funky Jamaican, but it still needs a little getting used to.

Very nice bottling from Rumschnacker. The nose has a nice Jamaica ester and tropical fruits. A bit of glue. On the palate nicely balanced with a healthy mix of pineapple, banana, ester, and gas station. Alcohol very well integrated. Nothing overwhelming and for me a very good daily sipper.

A very interesting first rum from the Rum Schnacker Club by Falk Redlich. On the nose, a whole basket of fruit aromas. For me, citrus fruits dominate. The taste is very fruity, then some vanilla with raisins. In between, I had a taste and smell I couldn't place at first. It seemed "medicinal" to me, maybe most like glue? Very interesting anyway and a great creation.

Still my current favorite Jamaican for sipping in terms of price-performance before the Hampden 8 years. Esters noticeable but not extreme. Warm mouthfeel, balanced aromas, not overwhelming but still with character.

Really great stuff this rum. You have to get to know it first, but then you find yourself snacking on it again and again. 46% are ideally integrated. This Jamaican is a must-try.
