#6077 18.12.2025 Day 18 of my Christmas Calendar. This is also s pretty sweet rum but it does have a nice tingly spiciness to it. Very faint smoke in the profile and some nice fruits. Finish is short to medium and also sweet

Ein weiterer likörartiger Rum aus dem Hause Old St. Croix. Karamell und Früchte in der Nase - am Gaumen eine angenehme, leicht scharfe Würze, Schokolade und Zitrusfrüchte. Die süsse Note dominiert aber das Profil. Gut aber nicht herausragend.

Das Gratissample reicht mir wohl aus. Dieser "Rum" ist mehr Likör als Rum und strotzt von zugefügtem Zucker. Selbst vor meiner "Rum-Zeit" hätte ich diese Abfüllung wohl als grottig empfunden, da sie nicht mal wirklich lecker ist.

Old St. Croix is the current name of the Danish rum house that traded as A.H. Riise until June 2025. Both names point back to the same man: Albert Heinrich Riise, a pharmacist who settled in the Danish West Indies in 1838 and exported his rum under the Old St. Croix label. The house style is soft and dessert-leaning, built on sweetened blends rather than dry spirit, and it splits opinion in the community more than almost any other brand on RumX.
