Oh wow, what a fruit bomb! The sweet fruit comes through beautifully on the nose and palate. Especially pineapple. Deliciously funky, a bit dry, and with a slight sharpness on the palate. The spicy esters linger well. This is a powerhouse.

#5559 15.08.2025 Relaxing with a set of samples while listening to some tracks by Oforia on Spotify. Nose Fresh, intense, light wood, faint smoke, light polish, fruity, overripe, citrus, ester. Palate Medium intense, light wood, faint roasted, fruity, overripe, pineapple, ester, medium dry, light spicy, light papaya. Finish Long and warm, light wood, fruity, panana, ester, medium dry, light spicy. Empty glass Pineapple, light apricot, light floral, spice, light sour. Needs to rest for a good while to really open up properly.

The nose is rather complex and offers a beautiful evolution. It starts with esters and solvents. Then tropical fruit, followed by light oak and cookie. The palate is also dominated by esters, with tropical fruit tending towards pineapple, a little wood and a little sulfur. Some bitterness too. A powerful rum that can be tamed.

Oh man, another really awesome, really cool Hampden. In any case, overripe tropical fruits again, especially pineapple and banana, also very funky and slightly alcoholic (no surprise there :-)) Still a great Hampden.
Review by Skyfly
What a cracker! A real ester bomb with a strong tropical fruit basket, especially pineapple. The same profile prevails from nose to finish. In addition to esters and tropical fruits, lots of cookie dough/pastry and some young wood. Simply awesome!

After the set of Jamaica The Legacy Brands from TheDunderHut, a little more ester was needed in the glass. The new Nobilis bottling can already do a lot, the concentrated C<>H power with all the typical markers. Funky mouthfeel with nice rough edges and well-integrated alcohol.

Brief first impression: Yes, it's pretty tasty. <>But I still like H better. It's good to take with you, but for me personally it's not a must-have if you already have some High-Ester Hampden.
Review by DomM
Very nice high ester Hampden bottling. Despite the relatively young age, the edges are have been rounded of reasonably. Has this one seen some tropical aging maybe? 🤔 Anyhow… it does what it says on the tin: very funky with roasted pineapple, solvent and cookies. I quite like this one.

17-07-2025 - Rate 8.4 12-12-2025 - Rate 8.1 Nobilis’ Hampden 10 years from Berlin Rum Festival 2024 is a bit better than this one. But both are good rums. Nose young wood, tropical fruit, ester and polish. Palate of young wood, tropical fruits and ester. Long finish dominated by ester and wood. 14-02-2026 - Rate 7.9

My favorite brand! Really good Hampden that is already very balanced despite its young age!
Review by Johnny Rumcask
Fun Hampden with the typical profile of tropical fruits (especially pineapple), esters and a hint of varnish. The alcohol content cannot be denied, but is still appropriate. To be fair, it's not an over-Hampden either. It would be even more fun if it were more affordable.

Amazingly good for its young age. A very successful bottling
Review by Jacques etdom
A c<>h with classic markers, tropical fruits, esters, varnish, etc. On the nose, there's a hint of sweetness. The palate confirms the nose, with a liveliness due to its young age, and a slight smokiness. The toasted nut note, which makes me love certain Hampden wines, is present but not very pronounced. A fine release, despite a few minor regrets, but considering its age, nothing surprising.

Impressive stuff. Despite the high alcohol aniseed, an enormous sweetness, lots of exotic fruits, very ripe pineapple, high esters. Round in the mouth. Very persistent, funky taste. Cake and cookies are also very noticeable.
