The 75.2% almost disappears — that's the first thing nearly everyone here notes. From an Azores white-wine cask, this Bielle agricole pours honey, ripe apricot and yellow fruit over fresh sugarcane, with a wine-cask sweetness that reads real rather than sticky. Exceptional rum. Blindly, I would never have guessed an agricole. I don't sense any grassy notes. The 6 years in the wine barrel have done a great (very good!) job here. I start salivating as soon as I smell it - a very good, incorruptible sign. Really ZERO alcohol noticeable on the nose. The palate is then dominated by honey and "Nimm Zwei" sweets. An ultra-long, tingling finish rounds off this delight. I give the rum at least 90 points without hesitation. It could have been 1-2 points higher if it had been even more powerful on the palate. Yes, really, for me it could have had even more pushing alcohol power. Although even as it is, it can be compared less to a disdainful four-cylinder than to a roaring V8 that brutally pushes you into your seat when you step on the gas. In other words, the rum is dense and heavy on the palate and pushes and shoves fantastically, without being fizzy or sharp-edged. The rum is also wonderfully oily and sweet and absolutely unique. I've never had anything like it in a glass. I had to buy two bottles - and I haven't done that for a long time. I highly recommend trying this marvel. But very important: don't dilute it, the rum immediately loses its magic. You'll have fun, trust me! 😊 Update 2025-07-31: Before buying the penultimate bottle available at Rum Depot (no, there won't be any more on the GRF either!), I tasted it again extensively and came to the conclusion that my previous rating of 90 points simply doesn't do justice to this stroke of genius due to the undeniably delicious honey note and the unearthly alcohol integration. So with a clear conscience, up to a whopping 93 points. 😍

I'm very glad I was able to control myself and didn't buy a whole bottle. At the price asked, I would have been very disappointed. Yeah, the nose is okay, I agree with apricot and honey. Alcohol on the nose is also not noticeable. On the palate, I can't confirm that the alcohol is well integrated; on the contrary, I find it disturbing (since this sometimes depends on my mood, I have to test it again in a few days). Otherwise, no flavor fireworks. The finish then brings a bit of an Agricole note, which also lingers the longest. Unspectacular and undercomplex. Reminds me a bit of a Beenleigh or English Harbour with an Agricole finish.

In der der Nase zunächst eine Gelbfruchtigkeit wie Aprikose oder Pfirsich und dazu eine mineralische Note. Auch etwas erdiges ist da und die Weinlagerung lässt sich in Form einer leichten Säure erahnen. Stachelbeere und Buttermilch. Im Geschmack gesellt sich zu dem gelben Steinobst noch etwas wie Rhabarber und eine würzige Honignote. Der Abgang ist mittellang bis lang, intensiv, voll, ölig, wärmend, pfeffrig und adstringierend. In der Nase merkt man wenig von den 75% Vol. Sie lassen sich höchstens in Form einer eines leicht kühlenden Eindrucks wie Menthol erahnen. Auf der Zunge und am Gaumen ist ein höherer Alkoholgehalt schon spürbar, aber es fühlt sich eher nach etwas weniger an. Für das enorme ABV ganz gut eingebunden. Nach dem Schlucken, sobald Sauerstoff in den Mundraum kommt wird er kurz etwas aufbrausend.

So, I finally have this so-called nectar of the gods 😉 in my glass. The nose is really very impressive. Yellow fruits, honey, and peach... However, not a trace of Agricole. On the palate, it hits hard. First a brief sweetness, then the alcohol tingles powerfully on the tongue and slightly numbs the taste buds. After that, allspice, roastiness, and late peach notes appear along with the first hints of green. The finish gradually reveals the typical Agricole aromas and is fairly long. I don't really find it first-class; I've had clearly better in my glass. But as often, it's purely a matter of taste. I definitely don't need a bottle of this.

Nose: aged grappa, alcohol noticeable, no honey but honey wine (mead), very intense, nutmeg Palate: alcohol, alcohol and alcohol, grappa again, it gets more interesting after about 5-10 seconds when the alcohol stops biting. But then I'm already as good as in the aftertaste, hmm, I'll have to try again later with water. When the palate has got used to it after the 3rd or 4th sip, the alcohol is no longer so oppressive. Lots of wood, slightly bitter. Finish: very long but mainly bitter / oak. Hmm, I'm undecided and since I generally have my difficulties with agricole, this Bielle rum and the euphoric reviews remain a mystery to me. Despite this, a very good, very intense rum with a strong focus on agricole, should have been aged longer from my amateurish point of view.

A rum tasted at the GRF in 2025. Thanks Gunnar for the sample. A nose that already transports me, spicy, bitter, fermented, fruity, and peppery. Real complexity. The palate is powerful in aromas but I was very surprised to discover the very high ABV that you hardly notice. Lots of breadth here, lots of spices, and depth too. The finish is super long and the winey side I guessed is obvious here and gives huge complexity to this rum. A favorite for this agricole that doesn’t taste like an agricole and for a totally successful aging in Azores white wine casks!

The Berlin Rum Club rightly philosophizes about orgasms (on the palate) with this unique drop. The green nose, which is not at all reminiscent of an Agricole, is intense but by no means pungent despite the high ABV. Yellow fruits and honey that continue in the taste. Probably not immediately identifiable as an Agricole when blind, which could be an advantage for those who are otherwise not so fond of Agricoles. The finish warms you up and the intensity is there, but the alcohol is so perfectly integrated that you can rightly call it a palate orgasm.

Alterrr, what an insane bottle. The ABV? Doesn't matter here, this rum is really fruity despite the high ABV. Yeah, whatever, you can also notice wood and spices. Nice rum, it was really great.

The cup of high-class ratings probably passed me by. No question, great rum and especially the alcohol is wonderfully integrated. You don't notice the 75%, or I'd have guessed it 50+. Taste-wise the agricole reminds me of a fruit brandy. Maybe just today's mood... Update follows, Update: I correct downwards. Today I notice the alcohol more clearly and the fruit brandy effect is even stronger. Not my thing...

Bielle and the aging in sweet wine barrels seems to be a successful combination, where the grassy-planty and herbaceous agricole is extended by a delicious honey sweetness. The salivary glands have to work overtime with this bottling, but it’s really incredible what creaminess develops and how well this drop can be enjoyed undiluted. A great rhum with an extremely long and breathtakingly beautiful finish!

A very good and interesting rum, which I probably just can't appreciate that much because I'm not a real Agricole fan. The typical notes like grass, earth and yellow fruits are clearly noticeable, alongside sugarcane and some pear. For over 75% the alcohol is excellently integrated; you still feel the warmth far into the finish.

I was very curious about this one due to the many controversial reviews. On the nose, I first noticed the dominant wine finish, PX/Sherry also came to mind. It also needs some standing time for the ABV to settle. Then come citrus fruits, malty hints, I can also understand some metallic notes, green agricole notes, fizzy Ahoi-Brause, dried apricots. On the palate, it pushes strongly, although with 72.5% I would have expected even more. With the high ABV (as often) comes a certain sweetness, plus nutmeg, ending in a long, peppery finish. Definitely a very bold and unusual piece.

💡 Ah! Right from the nose I find the iodized and lemony characteristics of the famous Bielle canne grise 59° that I so much enjoy in T-Punch, one of the best white rums for me, knowing that I'm not a big fan of white rum. 👃 Lots of orchard fruits, fruit brandy, very pure, agricultural freshness, cane earth & candied sugarcane, flower honey, honey-based alcohol, candied lemon. I also get cooking spices, light iodine turning towards a fermentative, lactic and pasteurized aspect, dry salty crumbly cheese like old Cantal. Crazy! But I said 59° but here it's 75°! Where are they? An exemplary integration. 😋 It's already much warmer, intense and lively on the palate, but still impossible to find the 75 horses. The impression of eating Swiss candies with creamy honey. Then, bitterness of fresh citrus, orchard fruits, spicy spices, I imagine peppery honey, candied sugarcane, fruit brandy again. It's quite alcoholic but soft at the same time. Strange sensation. ⛳ Warm, intense, peppery, dry, vinous and herbaceous. Honey that lingers on the tongue, like a confectionery, candied sugarcane. Not as long as the alcohol degree might suggest. 🫗 At the end of the tasting, the empty glass gives off an obvious musk smell. Disconcerting. 📝 For now, after several sips, 15-30-45-60min in the glass, I find it very good but not to the point of praising it like some reviews. It's a very good agricole, with excellent alcohol integration (especially on the nose), typical distillery markers, a very pleasant fruity and herbaceous freshness, but also this fermentative, almost animal peculiarity most surprising. An experience. For now, this dram lacks a bit more complexity and a longer finish to deserve a 90 according to my rating system. To retaste. UPDATE. 87 > 88, +1pt for this smell of old uncooked pressed cheese that I so much appreciate on the nose.

Wow, this is a special drop! I can't think of anything comparable, this is a truly unique character. Yellow fruits in honey dominate my impression and deliver a sweetness that feels real and not sticky and I actually really like it! I imagine finding the maritime character again and the Azores wine barrel is definitely noticeable, though well integrated. The finish then proves that it is an Agricole (in the broader sense) and delivers a few grassy-green notes. Despite 75% not alcoholic at all and on the palate almost a bit discreet, really very exciting! Purely taste-wise definitely in the high 8.x range, due to the unique character I even give a 9.0 here!

Unusually round and accessible on the nose for 75.2%. Peach, fresh sugarcane, mead and honey wine and slightly earthy mineral notes come through here. On the palate the 75.2% is definitely noticeable but not as harsh as feared and relatively well integrated. But of course, this has nothing to do with easy sipping!😅 Also here mead, yellow apricots and grapes, thyme and other Mediterranean herbs as well as a slight smokiness and minerality. Also strongly reminds me of grappa... Honestly not my taste and the price is debatable for such a "young" rum. Still overall good performance! But do I need this? I don't think so...😅

Very nice Bielle. Honey sweetness, sugarcane, very intense. Tingling in the mouth with ripe apricot, honey. Not floral. The longer you hold the sip in your mouth, the more it unfolds. You don't notice the 75% on the nose. More clearly on the palate, but never feels like 75%. I can only advise using water very very sparingly or not at all. The aromas are full. Bringing it undiluted to market makes absolute sense.

Truly an impressively sparkling and fruity sweet rum. The tingling reminds me a little of the savanna Herrline N1. Beautiful honey notes on the nose and palate. Yellow fruit power with a long, slightly peppery finish. The alcohol is well integrated and goes down creamy and easy. Unfortunately, the quantity is very limited so that you can enjoy it more often.

Verdict: it's a good rum, but nothing more than that and I feel that it's a bit hyped. Agricole notes are detectable from the start, alcohol is a bit tensed, hence water is essential here. Overal nicely sugary, fruity, herbal and spicy. 82 points. Nose: strong, and a bit tensed, when neat. Sugarcane, different grasses (maram grass, reeds), flowers, yellow fruits, mainly apricot and peach. A bit green too, on carambola, green grape, and spice. It grows on you, but water is needed. Palate: this is a thunderstorm of green: cane juice, beautifully soft, grass, carambola, granny smith. Nice integrated wood, spice that gives a drying edge (gentian, ginger). Lime, vanilla, grape. Finish: Long, mainly on cane juice, sugar, grass, and some bitter herbs and spices. Lemon, peach, carambola.

Wow, the nose is already stunning. I've never had such rich caramel or toffee to bite into in any rum before. On the palate, it really kicks. Yellow fruits, honey sweetness, and light floral notes hit the taste buds hard. Only the finish unfortunately doesn't last very long. This rum will likely polarize even rum drinkers who wrinkle their noses at too strong barrel influence. Another one of those modern, high-proof, and charged rums, but this time a very good one. Still, the price is too ambitious for me, especially when you compare the price/enjoyment ratio with the new Beenleigh from the bottle shop.

Unfortunately, I can't quite reach into the top shelf here. I'm not an Agricol expert and yes, the alcohol is perfectly integrated. On the nose it can still please with honey and yellow fruit, but the wine flavor is too dominant for my taste. I've let it breathe for almost an hour now, but it's not my profile. I can't give it more than 8.0.

Unfortunately, I had to be patient this time in order to taste this fine drop, as I was still on vacation. But I had to read in some chats how enthusiastic everyone is about the Bielle and that you can't even begin to taste the 75%. I finally had the pleasure of tasting it today and my expectations were not disappointed. You don't notice the 75% on the nose at all, on the contrary, there are pleasant yellow fruits, honey, wine and a slight mineral note. On the palate, if you just wet your tongue with a few drops, a honey and wine note immediately emerges. Then a great fruitiness. (Again yellow fruits) The salivation starts immediately with the force of flavors. I can confirm the palate orgasm that some have already described. 🥳 It also stays in the mouth for a very, very long time. An absolutely phenomenal cask that Bielle has found.

Demanding, intense - the nose reminds me of beeswax and grappa; on the palate, the rum flavors are rather subdued. Citrus peel, grapes, medicinal-mineral notes. A bit of cane sugar sweetness, along with light green, floral notes. Classic milky-buttery notes from the wine cask, but the further fruitiness is overwhelmed by the dry grape aroma. I’m absolutely not at home with this flavor-wise; technically, there’s little to fault in the distillate, but subjectively, I’m missing any charm and drinking pleasure.

I can't quite follow the very high ratings. The alcohol is definitely perfectly integrated and the rum is definitely interesting. But for me the wine influence is actually too high. I also get strong pear brandy vibes. The beeswax with yellow fruits is again very nice. Slight gummy bear note reminds me of Savanna. The grassy notes show it's an Agricole. In conclusion, I'd say you should try it. Exciting, but not quite my profile. If you like the full load of smoke, beeswax and agricole note, you should grab it.

I really like Bielle, but with Bielle on steroids I only warmed up to it to a limited extent. After some standing time, the alcohol is surprisingly well integrated. Wood notes are there, as well as spice and apricot notes. But for me, just too overpowering. It's not harmonious, and I prefer the subtler Bielles.

Great stuff, but needs time & water. Otherwise unfortunately too alcoholic on the palate, the 75% really hits hard and is not as well integrated as hoped. Otherwise a great Bielle and surprisingly mature for its young age.

What a honey explosion on the nose. At first, you think you're sniffing an open jar and not a glass of rum. The palate is also dominated by honey, the high ABV provides a very intense fruity aroma and allows for great enjoyment with very small sips. However, the profile doesn't quite suit my taste here; the sweetness is a bit too much for me. I would have preferred to go back to the previously tasted young Montebello, which is more restrained but has a profile that fits me better. Still, this is a very good bottling with a special note. If you like a strong mead, this is the right choice.

Creole style sex on the tongue. OMG! This exotic french lady keeps all the promises of her looks all night long. A very unique and special rum. The intensity of the orange liqueur and grassy, green and earthy notes is fantastic. And it’s present all over nose and palate throughout the long finish. The lead pencil notes seem to stay forever, the empty glass just can’t be used for the next rum even after pouring water in the glass. The rum just continuously lingers in the the glass. The rum of 2025!

Alcoholic? (at 75.2%) of course yes. Still, I was surprised how well the alcohol is integrated here. The wine cask adds extra complexity to the floral/grassy notes. However, I can only somewhat understand the high rating.

Very interesting experiment. First the positives: great alcohol integration and a wonderfully creamy, intense mouthfeel. The profile itself, with focuses on honey, some wood/spices, and light agricole notes, is however too one-dimensional for me to justify a higher rating.

Hits my taste fully, even though I'm not a fan of such high alcohol content. Luckily the 75% is really well integrated. The honey sweetness combined with the wine-like fruit aromas is exceptional. Awesome rum

So after a long time, I finally found the sample in my cabinet. Unfortunately, I can't quite understand the good reviews. Since I've already had quite a few Bielles, including the MegaSet from BananaJoe in my glass, and quite a few bottled by Velier, I have to say this one definitely can't keep up. Or maybe I just have no clue after all.

Doesn't grab me personally: yellow fruits, few typical Agricole notes, oak, spicy, herbs. Alcohol surprisingly well integrated for the strength, blind I would never have guessed so many percent. In the end, one sample is enough for me.
