Whisky Live Paris 2025. Un beau nez avec du vieux bois verni et des fruits jaunes. Des fruits secs aussi. Plus un côté amer, épicé et végétal et même un peu floral. Une bouche très marquée par le vieux bois verni qui ne laisse que peu de place aux fruits secs et aux autres arômes. La finale est belle, longue, riche des arômes du nez après que le bois se soit dissipé. Un très beau rhum, sa bouche trop boisée à mon goût lui fait perdre des points.

On the nose, a certain fruitiness. On the palate, at the first sip, quite pleasant with a hint of gunpowder. Ends somewhat more balanced. Needs time in the glass. Quite stable in the finish. Really suits me well.

8,7:On the nose, medicinal with rubber, roasted wood notes like caramel, nuts, oily, spicy with vanilla, anise, dried, candied fruits, floral molasses, dark with black tea, some pencil shavings, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, raisins, dates, prunes are out, molasses with root hints, licorice, nougat, chocolate/cocoa join, metallic patina. 8,6:On the palate, the attack is oily, balanced with roasted wood notes like caramel, pastry, spicy with allspice, anise, slightly resinous, tannic, dried and citrus fruits, tropical, some plums, minty, herbaceous molasses with pencil shavings, sweet with honeycomb, medicinal with petrol hints. 8,7:The finish is long, dry&tannic, waxy, with toasted oak notes, spicy, dried fruits, thick, dark molasses with licorice, black tea and some pencil shavings..

Voilà encore une bouteille qui rappelle combien l 'univers du rhum est formidable! J attendais beaucoup de ce blend guyana après les retours que j en avais eu et mes attentes ne sont pas déçues. J ai un souvenir de parquet ciré.Un beau contraste sucré / salé . Une grosse ambiance medicinale et fleurs séchée . Finale très longue boisée , réglisse salée et cire.

#5802 29.09.2025 Day three of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This is a very well balance Guyana with nice wood and some tannins, all mingling well with the ABV, the dru palate and som fruit and pencil shavings.

Tasted on the occasion of Whisky Live Paris 2025. That's a nose that talks to me, dried fruits, mainly dried plum, figs and apricot, typical pencil shavings from the PM still, the whole is very balanced with the wood from the barrel. On the palate, the pencil shavings are very present, it's dark and way less sweet than the nose. Licorice and wood bitterness follow (not unpleasant). I don't have dried fruits anymore, it's more herbaceous and medicinal. It gets drier and more bitter, not a disturbing finish though. I wouldn't have it everyday but I still dig it, I wouldn't mind having a bottle on my shelf.

Tasting WLP 2025. One of my ❤️ favorites from the fair. The blend 40% Enmore 1990 & 60% Uitvlugt 1990, fully aged on the continent, works really well here. 👃 Candied fruits (lemon, persimmon) and dried fruits (raisins, jujube), they are almost salty. Medicinal impression. Herbal notes, salty licorice, light brine. Smell of boiled vegetables (fennel, celery). Varnish, wood glue. A fairly typical soft Whisky nose. 😋 Sensation of wood covered with sugar, then charred, then floated. Garden nuts in autumn, medicinal herbs, fresh candies (mint, maybe anise), stem, the light brine again. A bit of essential oils, kerosene lamp oil. ⛳ Sweet licorice, saltiness, dryness of herbal spices. 💡 A balanced, structured, and rather smooth dram after all. The aromas remind more of eye-flute than Enmore, the blend is successful.

Tasting at Whisky Live: "This is a 32-year-old Guyanese rum, from a blend. We recovered small quantities of Enmore 1990 (40%) and Uitvlugt 1990 (60%), aged on the continent and stored off cask." Honestly very nice, very herbal, medicinal, notes of old wood, but also a little treat in the background with a bit of milk chocolate. Alcohol imperceptible. Very cool.

Decadent Drinks – Blended Guyana 32 Y – 53.1% A blend of 32-year-old Guyana rums, composed of 40% Enmore 1990 and 60% Uitvlugt 1990, both aged on the continent then kept out of cask. The whole benefited from a 10-month finish in an old rum cask before bottling at 53.1%. A balanced, intense and structured rum, with a very long finish. Easy to drink, but above all very pleasant! Small disappointment though at the stand: last year there was a nice selection of rums… this year, only one! Re-reading my 2024 notes, I find an exceptional Uitvlugt 1990 and a more ordinary Enmore 1990. Huh… could this be the blend of these leftover casks?
