Decadent Drinks LTD Pot-Distilled Blended Guyana Rum
Sip this neat and slow — it's an old-school Guyana profile built on varnished oak, dried plum, figs and that telltale pencil-shaving note from the Demerara stills. Underneath runs a salty, medicinal, licorice streak that several tasters loved. A 32-year Enmore/Uitvlugt blend that drinks dry and structured, with the alcohol barely showing despite the strength. The long, woody finish is the headline.

Voilà encore une bouteille qui rappelle combien l 'univers du rhum est formidable! J attendais beaucoup de ce blend guyana après les retours que j en avais eu et mes attentes ne sont pas déçues. J ai un souvenir de parquet ciré.Un beau contraste sucré / salé . Une grosse ambiance medicinale et fleurs séchée . Finale très longue boisée , réglisse salée et cire.

#5802 29.09.2025 Day three of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This is a very well balance Guyana with nice wood and some tannins, all mingling well with the ABV, the dru palate and som fruit and pencil shavings.

Dégustation WLP 2025. Un de mes coups de ❤️ du salon. L'assemblage 40% Enmore 1990 & 60% Uitvlugt 1990, vieilli intégralement sur le continent, fonctionne très bien ici. 👃 Fruits confits (citron, kaki) et secs (raisins, jujube), ils sont presque salés. Impression médicinale. Notes herbacées, réglisse salée, légère saumure. Odeur de légumes bouillis (fenouil, céleri). vernis, colle à bois. Nez doux assez typé Whisky. 😋 Sensation de bois qu'on aurait recouvert de sucre, puis carbonisé, puis flotté. Noix du jardin à l'automne, herbes médicinales, bonbons frais (menthe, anis peut-être), tige, la saumure légère encore. Un peu d'huiles essentielles, d'huile pour lampe à pétrole. ⛳ Réglisse douce, salinité, sécheresse des épices herbacées. 💡 Un dram équilibré, structuré et plutôt doux finalement. Les arômes font penser davantage à eye-flute qu'à Enmore, le blend est réussi.

Dégustation du Whisky Live : « Il s’agit d’un rhum guyanais de 32 ans d’âge, issu d’un assemblage. Nous avons récupéré quelques petites quantités d’Enmore 1990 (40 %) et d’Uitvlugt 1990 (60 %), vieillis sur le continent, et stockés hors fût. » Franchement sympathique, très herbacé, médicinal, des notes de vieux bois, mais également une petite gourmandise en fond avec un petit chocolat au lat. Alcool imperceptible. Très cool.

Decadent Drinks – Blended Guyana 32 Y – 53.1% Un blend de rhums de Guyana âgé de 32 ans, composé de 40 % d’Enmore 1990 et de 60 % d’Uitvlugt 1990, tous deux vieillis sur le continent puis conservés hors fût. Le tout a bénéficié d’un finish de 10 mois dans un vieux fût de rhum avant embouteillage à 53.1 %. Un rhum équilibré, intense et structuré, à la finale très longue. Facile à boire, mais surtout très plaisant ! Petite déception tout de même du côté du stand : l’an dernier, il y avait une belle sélection de rhums… cette année, un seul ! En relisant mes notes de 2024, j’y retrouve un Uitvlugt 1990 exceptionnel et un Enmore 1990 plus quelconque. Tiens donc… ne serait-ce pas justement le blend de ces restes de fûts ?

Whisky Live Paris 2025. Un beau nez avec du vieux bois verni et des fruits jaunes. Des fruits secs aussi. Plus un côté amer, épicé et végétal et même un peu floral. Une bouche très marquée par le vieux bois verni qui ne laisse que peu de place aux fruits secs et aux autres arômes. La finale est belle, longue, riche des arômes du nez après que le bois se soit dissipé. Un très beau rhum, sa bouche trop boisée à mon goût lui fait perdre des points.
