#5598 23.08.2025 Celebrating Michael's 50th birthday with some good rums. Nose Fresh, light wood, fruity, overripe, banana, light citrus, faint chocolate, light glue. Palate Fresh, light oily, light wood, faint smoke, overripe, banana, light mango, light glue, light caramel, faint chocolate. Finish Long and warm, light wood, fruity, naturally sweet, light caramel, light citrus. Needs to rest for a while to really open up properly.

After all, this LP has enjoyed 2 out of 7 years of tropical aging. However, the indication of the mark is not clearly classifiable for me. I would place it in the range of 150 to 300. Nose: Esters combined with rather fermented and vinegar-heavy aromas. From the start, there is a slightly smoky umami note. It comes across as rather muted and dull, yet there is some fruity character leaning towards passion fruit, banana, and citrus fruits. Behind that, you can also find some honey or caramel. A rather atypical LP. 7.8 Palate: bacon-like esters with an umami touch and at the same time pineapple and banana with an oily-buttery texture. Towards the finish, bacon-nutty-smoky-sweet notes reminiscent of tonka bean. Again, a rather unusual LP. 8.0

Floral long pond. Strong honey floral aromas. The flavors are a complete explosion of light nail polish remover that immediately transitions into flowers, honey, pineapple, green and other tropical unripe fruit. The finish is long, warming, and so on.
