6,8:On the nose, it is rather discreet. Delicate butterscotch aromas simply brush the nostrils, there is some orange peel. Vanilla sugar syrup opens the way to sweet spices like cinnamon. The rum seems candied like a soft candy. Aeration returns it to something more delicate, like a white nougat with almonds. 7:On the palate, the texture is very soft and sweet. Nougat comes to mind at first, but the sweetness doesn't stop there, as we move on to a chocolate and hazelnut spread. The nuts are sweet and fatty, with vanilla-coated almond and macadamia. 6,9:The finish is almost creamy, very vanilla-like and silky....

Very nice Oliver with its standard taste, what is interesting is the whiff of gas which many of the presidente rums have when you take a sniff. I like it it is not overly sweet. Tones of vanila and hazelnuts are present on the palate.

Presidente rums are made using the solera method: a fractional aging process in which each rum spends a given amount of time in different American and French oak casks, giving this range a particularly smooth, woody character. Popularized by the success of Presidente Gran Anejo, this cuvée is an excellent introduction to the world of rum tasting, with flavors that combine intensity and sweetness. A nose of caramel and vanilla brings fresh, fluid sensations of melon and other dried, candied fruits to the palate. A soft, saline finish to discover the world of rum and its unsuspected tasting secrets...for accessible pleasure!
