7,6:On the nose, eucalyptus, slightly medicinal, toasted wood notes like caramel, spicy, a bit alcoholic, apple and pear, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, citrus and red fruits arise, pastry, allspice, slight smokiness. 7,7:On the palate, the attack is fresh with eucalyptus, flowery, sweet with honey, fruity with apple, raspberry, cherry hints and citrus fruits, slightly alcoholic, as the wood is toasted with caramel, pastry, spicy with allspice, anise, salty. 7,4:The finish is rather disappointing, medium long, dry&tannic, with smoky toasted oak notes like caramel, leather, spicy with allspice, fruits like dried, citrus.

A rum selected by the Rhum Club Paris then aged in a small barrel on a barge. The story is nice but the result disappointing. Rather fruity and spicy on the nose, the palate reveals more woodiness. A ripe cherry, chili, eucalyptus. It's nice but without much character and with too biting alcohol. That said, the bottle improves when aired.

A very beautiful nose of cherry, orchard fruits (notably pear), a very light buttery caramel and a distant eucalyptus/menthol side. On the palate, you find the same markers, including anise. Unfortunately, the alcohol is not very well integrated and this spicy side scratches the mouth... which doesn't live up to the nose :(
