7,7:On the nose, sweet with spicy, nutty wood notes like caramel, vanilla, chocolate, cinammon, fruity with tropical fruits like banana, green with apple and the molasses is herbaceous...simple, yet balanced, quit attractive. 7:On the palate, the attack is mild, but sweet with sugar notes, molasses with honey, herbaceous, syrupy, the wood is spicy(cinnamon, vanilla) and slightly smoky, even salty, the fruits are green and tropical.There is also some metallic patina. 6,5:The finish is weak, diluted, dry, sweet with sugar, caramel, the wood is spicy and the fruits dried, green.

From nose to finish, basically only one thing dominates – sweetness! Besides the sweetness, which mainly tastes like sugar syrup, fruits and minimal spices can be detected. With higher ABV, you could surely taste more.

Somehow this rum tastes weird, as if this release was sweetened afterwards. Does not suit my taste at all. Unfortunately, not much came of it except expenses. Nice to have tried, but I had hoped for a bit more.

Außer Spesen nichts gewesen. Künstliche Süße ist das einzige was ich ich sowohl an Nase als auch am Gaumen wahrnehmen kann. Zum 120ten Geburtstag hätte ich mir was anderes gewünscht. Das ist leider nix.
