Excited that Bedford included a Bellevue in their second batch, I definitely had to grab it. On the nose this one is fresh and herbaceous, yet honey sweet and spicy. With time you get some musty and dusty notes come through. On the palate it is fairly intense, a mix of salty and sweet hits you upfront. Fresh and bright fruit in there - I get citrus but also some crisp apple at times. Also some tobaccco. This one is quite firm and I tried adding some water - something I rarely do. I think it benefits from it, as taking down the intensity a touch allows this one to show a bit more of the fruit and light honey sweetness, along with damp young wood m, spice and freshness. My favourite agricoles are those that showcase fruit, freshness and elegant wood integration. The intensity here stops this one from being a favourite but the complexity is still quite impressive.
