I really like the Madeira rum, the aging in wine casks is very noticeable, alcohol well integrated, very smooth. I can recommend it to anyone who also likes wine 😁

Madeira cask no longer lets you recognize the base spirit. It's clearly too much for me.

The rum has strong roasted and woody aromas with notes of chocolate, cappuccino, malt, and molasses. On the nose, caramel, cola, and port wine, but overall rather flat. On the palate, the alcohol is clearly noticeable and not well integrated, making it sharp and unbalanced. The spice and bitterness remain dominant, fruit and sweetness mainly come from the cask and overshadow the rum. Overall solid, but no knockout...
