Sauternes and Cuba go incredibly well together! Honey, dried apricots, and dried fruits like figs and raisins accompanied by vanilla and tonka bean, a bit of salt, as well as Virginia tobacco and leather, and pleasant subtle tannins from the wood. I like it surprisingly much! Nice, dry, easy sipper! A positive surprise and so far one of the best executed Sauternes finishes.

For a Cuban, a really good product. Especially considering the price, you can definitely enjoy this rum. Dried fruits are noticeably more prominent than in other Cubans where wood, spice, and caramel aromas dominate.

#7052 17.07.2026 Finally weekend and this week I've been walking a lot so now I want to relax. The wife is out with one of her Japanese friends so I can watch some Steven Segal movies at fulle blast. A well rounded rum with a nice price tag in my mind. Well runded rum with natural sweetness, fruits, caramel, honey, light roasted wood and a light peppery note.

After having already tried several Eminente rums, thanks to a tasting set I won once on RumX, this one fits seamlessly into that lineup without really standing out. Solid but not exceptional, though the finish works well here.

A rum in the Spanish style with average quality. No surprises, overall smooth with a bit of tobacco on the nose, but also really fruity. The usual range of a Spanish rum is also present on the palate and finish.

I find the nose nice, and the first taste on the palate is great too. But then it gets bitter too quickly for me and that lingers for a long time. I remember the RX7273 much more positively. Edit: on a second try in the evening on the terrace, a very different impression. Changed rating from 5.5 to 8
