German Rum Festival 2025. Un nez fruité et floral tel qu’on l’attend d’un TDL, un petit côté pimenté et fermenté aussi. Du bois en soutient et des notes de Caroni à l’arrière-plan. De la douceur aussi, un nez tout à fait complexe. L’entrée de bouche est puissante, ample et fruitée. Puis les arômes diminuent lentement et dans l’équilibre des saveurs. Le menthol est beaucoup plus présent qu’au nez. La finale est très longue et, tout à la fin, les arômes de Caroni persistent longtemps. Un très beau rhum, même si le milieu de bouche est un peu plus faible. Un beau blend aussi même s’il n’est pas tout à fait abouti.

Messebewertung: Guter Blend, bei dem man alle Bestandteile schmeckt. Die Caroni Aromen sind vor allem in Gaumen und Abgang zu schmecken, jedoch recht flach ausgebracht. Hatte ehrlich gesagt mehr erwartet

Ein weiterer Navy Rum aus diesem Herbst… und ein sehr gelungener. In der Nase zuerst eine Ladung TDL mit Minze, der dann Caroniaromen folgen. Das fängt vielversprechend an. Am Gaumen anfangs gebranntes Karamell, sowie deutlich frische Minze (TDL) und anschließend erneut Caroniaromen (dreckig/fruchtig). Im Abgang setzt sich diesesWechselspiel fort. So muss ein Navy sein 🤩 Edit: Im Navy-Tasting bestätigt er seine Punktzahl erneut

#5623 30.08.2025 Tasting at the German Rum Fest 2025. This is a great blend and I understand why it got sold out within 30 minutes. All the lovely notes of Trinidad are there, the mint, the rubber and light tar, fruits and roasted barrel notes. Price to quality is OK in my mind.

Ein kreativer Namr für einen guten Trinidad Blend. Als Soul of Trinidad würde ich diesen für mich aber nicht bezeichnen. Die Aromen, welche ich Trinidad Rum zuordne, sind definitiv rauszuschmecken/riechen.

8,7:On the nose, roasted wood notes like caramel, perhaps cream toffee, spicy, flowery molasses, minty, with some eucalyptus, tea, rubber, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, roasted nuts are out, mocha and chocolate, allspice, dried fruits, some dirt and tar. 8,8:On the palate, the attack is fresh with tea, minty molasses, eucalyptus, a bit grassy, fruity with tropical and citrus fruits, industrial, a bit dirty with rubber and tar, the wood is roasted with nuts, butterscotch, later perhaps with caramel, fudge, confectionery, slightly smoky and spicy. 8,6:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, industrial with rubber, tar, slightly dirty, the oak is strong with cardboard, a bit roasted, smoky with dark chocolate, confectionery, spicy with allspice and the fruits are tropical, citrus, the molasses minty..

Abgefahrener Trinidad Blend! Caroni ist klar erkennbar mit Gummi und Tropfenfrucht, sowie Rauch., TDL 2003/2002 bringt viel Minze und Limette und Menthol mit etwas Bitterorange, Grapefruit. Ten cane dann minimal im Abgang mit Tanninen, roten Beerenfrüchten, Mineralität und etwas dunkler Schokolade und Pappkarton im positiven. Sehr gelungener Blend der sich innerhalb von 15 Minuten stark entwickelt!

Braucht anfangs ein wenig im Glas, aber dann kommen die Aromen wunderbar durch. Dunkle Früchte geparrt mit Minze. Tdl ist im Vordergrund, der Caroni schmiegt sich samt ein und es ergibt eine Balance. Ich Finde den Blend schon sehr gelungen.

Naja, der Blend ist ja ganz nett, aber meiner Meinung nach ist der T.D.L viel zu dominant. Vom Caroni ist leider nur ein Hauch zu schmecken, wenn man sich anstrengend. Das verbaut ihn ein wenig eine bessere Bewertung.

TDL is dominating with lots of mint und typical fruity notes (peaches). Caroni notes supplement the profile nicely adding some malty notes to it (not much workshop / dirt, however). Didn’t pick up Ten Cane specifically but it’s an overall nice Trinidad blend.

Verkostung auf dem German Rum Festival 2025 und leider schon vergriffen: Toller Blend mit der ganzen Wundertüte der Trinidad-Noten. Von Minze, Gewürzen, Eukalyptus bis zu den dreckigen Caroni-Noten ist alles dabei und sehr ausgewogen.

Spannender Blend, der grundsätzlich funktioniert, aber die Frage offenlässt, ob er tatsächlich die einzelnen Bestandteile zu einer noch spannenderen Komposition führt. TDL dominiert, bekommt mit der Süsse des Ten Cane eine gefällige Begleitung zur Seite und der Caroni bringt noch weitere Vielfalt in Form von etwas Teernoten ein.

Dieser Trinidad-Blend ist mit seinen dicht verwobenen Aromen sehr gut gelungen, benötigt allerdings einige Zeit im Glas, um sich komplett zu öffnen. T.D.L scheint zwar die tragende Komponente gewesen zu sein, aber das ist ja bekanntlich keine schlechte Grundlage aufgrund der geschmeidig karamelligen Textur und der leckeren Pfirsich-Minztee-Kombination. Und letztlich liefern auch die beiden anderen Destillerien einen kleinen, aber feinen Beitrag zum Gesamtbild.

Nase ist eher dezent... Schöne Würze leicht Minze rote und gelbe Früchte , leicht dreckige notes mit Teer und Leder etwas Kaffee. Am Gaumen schönes Mundgefühl erstmal Fruchtig dann kommt sofort Minze und geballte Ladung Bitterstoffe... dann kommen rote dunkle Früchte(Johannisbeeren, Rosine Pflaume Cassis ) Abgang eher kurz bis maximal mittelmäßig.
