Foursquare fans who don't want to wait decades will find a lot to like here: coconut, vanilla, caramel and overripe tropical fruit, with the bourbon-barrel stamp coming through clearly. At just under 10 years it's fruitier and less oaky than the old-timers, and a few tasters note the 64% still shows some young edges. Most found the alcohol well integrated and the finish long.

Un rhum gouté au GRF en 2025. Masterclass RumClub. Un nez fruité et pâtissier comme on peut s’y attendre à la Barbade. Fruits jaunes et tropicaux trop mûrs. L’entrée de bouche est élégante et la puissance ne vient qu’après avec l’alcool, les fruits tropicaux, la noix de coco et les pâtisseries. La final est longue et tous les arômes restent jusqu’à la fin. Très belle finale ici, même si on peut trouver du boisé un peu sec.

8,4:On the nose, toasted oak with butterscotch, leather, confectionery, spicy, a bit tamed, coconut, banana, yellow fruits, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, some citrus fruits arise, bourbon barrel impact is strong, baking spices, vanilla, molasses is flowery. 8,1:On the palate, the attack is slightly alcoholic, intense, bourbon barrel impact is obvious with brown toasted wood notes like pastry, caramelized burnt sugar, chocolate, allspice, vanilla, a bit smoky, creamy, fruity with coconut, tropical, citrus fruits and dried apricots, raisins, the molasses is slightly dark with black tea. 8,3:The finish is medium long, more balanced, medicinal, oily, dry and tannic with toasted oak notes pairing dried fruits, coconut and flowery molasses. #5616 30.08.2025 VIP Tasting at the German Rum Fest 2025. This is a very nice bottling and I bought 2 bottles after tasting it. Very fruity with nice ABV integration and a nice natural sweetness to it. Pineapple go along with banana, spices and a light floral note. The palate is warm, oily and sweet with light chocolate and caramel. Probably a hard bottle to get by now because they sold a lot at the event.

Pleasant FSQ, which despite its relatively short aging convinces with intense aromas of coconut, caramel and tropical fruits. Additionally, there are burnt sugar, barrel and various spices. Alcohol very well integrated!

Impressive how well Foursquare works even at a young age. It's clear that the wheel isn't reinvented here, but the basic character of the distillery is also found in this rum, albeit in a fruitier and less wood-dominated expression due to its age. A really good cask was selected for this bottling, whose contents have matured with only 9 years of aging and combine a very tasty play of aromas with an excellently integrated alcohol level.

First of all, many thanks for the sample to Dirk from Rum Depot. As for the rum itself, I was pleasantly surprised. After only being stored tropically for 8 years with the subsequent crossing, it clearly still has a few rough edges. After it "only" has a bourbon finish again, it still knows how to please.

Tasting at the 14th German Rum Festival: Solid Foursquare with the known notes. It hides its rather young age well. So for the price, really a decent Barbados rum. Surely also a pleasure as a mixer.

First of all many thanks to the Depot for the great samples. I'm not the biggest Foursquare fan, but this one is intense and special for me. Overripe yellow and tropical fruits. On the palate elegant and the alcohol is well integrated. Tropical fruits, coconut and pastries. The finish is long and all aromas remain until the end. I took 2 bottles with me.

Great Barbados Foursquare bottling from the Rumclub that's still available at almost release price. Even though it's been over a year. All the Foursquare parameters like bourbon cask, vanilla, coconut are clearly noticeable. If it said ECS or Velier on it, the bottle would probably be sold out ten times over. If you prefer tasting over speculating, you should grab it quickly.

Nice FS profile on the nose with lots of coconuts, vanilla and fruits. A hint too much alcohol compared to other FS bottlings. Very much the same on the palate. Nice FS showing, yet not overly complex and a bit alcohol forwards.

A nice Foursquare with edges and corners and the expected aromas. The rum does all this surprisingly well and is lively. It's quite fun and compared to the current WDC Foursquare probably the more interesting product as the price/performance ratio is absolutely right here and character is recognizable.

On one hand convinced by typical Foursquare notes, but on the other hand still a lot of youthful immaturity - the alcohol is still unruly, the fruits are much more present than in the longer-aged releases. In the good range because complexity and structure basically convince.

Definitiv ein toller Rum. Richtig überrascht hat er mich beim zweiten Verkosten mit einigen älteren Vertretern von Foursquare, wo er nicht nur mithalten sondern sogar richtig Gegentakten konnte. Daher ein Hammer Preis-Genuss-Verhältnis

Nose: dried fruits, chocolate, coconut, coffee, a slight alcoholic sharpness, but also a light note of yellow fruits. Taste: coconut, dried fruits, nuts, chocolate. The alcohol is noticeable but well integrated. The finish is medium to long. Very nice bottling.

Very intense and spicy rum but the alcohol is very present. The taste is rather woody and spicy, and I'm missing the typical coconut notes and fruit notes of a Barbados. However, overall a successful rum but not my favorite for Barbados.
