Aquavitae Mülheim October 2025. After a 2-hour break, it continues :) First, tasting a Bellamy's. It's quite sweet, you can mainly taste caramel and vanilla, but also a bit of nut. It's pretty okay.

Note: Employment at Perola GmbH (spirits industry), partial professional involvement with the evaluated bottlings. All reviews are my personal, unpaid opinion. Intense bourbon notes (if you know the Yellowstone brand, you'll really enjoy this one! The 4 years in the barrel are definitely noticeable here. Pleasant, with a fine but not overpowering sweetness, a bit of hazelnut, cocoa, nut nougat, peanut butter, and a touch of banana. Mild and easy-drinking despite 51% ABV.

Well, to be honest, it's not really my type. The rum definitely falls into the beginner rum category because it is very one-dimensional. Also, it is said to contain 14g of sugar, which is quite noticeable. Not really for nerds.

30-08-2025 - Rate 6.3 German Rum Festival 2025 After some great rums at Vagabond Spirits, we came across a long time favorite, Bellamy’s. Only one new bottle in the stand. We had already tastet the other bottles before. We tasted the Perola 15th Anniversary Edition. Was not aware of the low ABV and that the rum had been sweetened. Was very disappointed by this rum.
