Perfect for

Seasoned Hampden fans and high-ester collectors who love intense glue/ester funk wrapped in overripe tropical fruit and nuanced old wood at robust strength.

Incredibly cool 83 Hampden! Continental aging at its best. Tropical fruits, esters, bacon, roasted nuts and lots and lots of delicious overripe tropical fruits. Incredibly creamy and delicious. I really like it!

Lots of intensity and funk despite the long time in the cask. As for other 1983 Hampden bottlings, this combination of high ester levels and long continental aging is superb and very much to my liking. For this particular one, I think it is a bit over its peak. The finish shows quite a bit of musty wood notes, which overpower the lingering fruit notes.

Messebewertung GRF 2025 Toller Hampden. Ester Feuerwerk.
