#4755 22.06.2024 Nice tasting afternoon and evening with Hannes at the shop in Odense. Nose Balanced, fresh, fruity, banana, spice, faint caramel, faint honey, light cinnamon. Palate Oily, balanced, complex, light wood, fruity, light peaches, light cherry, faint leather, spices, faint floral. Finish Long and warm, wood, light roasted, faint caramel, faint licorice, spice, faint plums. This is a great rum though in the high price range. I can only recommend you try it if it crosses your path.

8,9:On the nose, fresh, grassy molasses, dark with black tea, sweet with honey, fruits like citrus, tropical fruits, fermented, buttery, toasted wood notes like nuts, chocolate, pastry, caramel, barrel impact is obvious, slightly metallic, bump into our nosetrils, balanced. On aeration, gingerbread, fruitcake, cocoa arise, anise, allspice, hints of tannins, medicinal notes, rubber, floral, herbaceous molasses. 9,1:On the palate, the attack is balanced, full-bodied, oily, soft, complex with toasted wood notes like butterscotch, brown sugar, nuts, pastry, dark chocolate, leather, spicy with allspice, vanilla, barrel impact is obvious, fruity with tropical fruits like banana and pineapple, mango, maracuja, later peaches, citrus fruits and cherry, buttery, fermented, molasses is floral, herbaceous, candied. 8,8:The finish is long, dry&tannic, slightly metallic, fruity with tropical and citrus fruits, warm with toasted oak notes, spicy, smoky, molasses is fresh, minty, vegetal, dark with licorice..

What a delicious, full-bodied, and creamy rum. Delightfully warm flavor of dark chocolate, caramel, and honey with cherries and old wood. Glue also comes through clearly. A complex rum with a long, warm finish. A delight.

Fruity nose, somewhat closed off. Fruit gummies, noticeable cask influence, overall not very complex but pleasant. On the palate tropical fruits, creamy, with a slight spice. Alcohol well integrated. Finish with yellow fruits and noticeable tannins. A pleasant rum but for me not very impressive. The long aging is not really noticeable. Tastes okay but nothing outstanding that sticks in your memory, considering the basic facts. Just a solid rum.

On the nose, this aged rum doesn't seem that old at first. Peach and cherry harmonize beautifully with light spices and caramel. On the palate, it is beautifully oily with additional leather, oak, and dark chocolate, which lingers for a long time.

And once again found a nice old bottling in the sample cabinet. Overall it feels very accessible and soft. I was also able to discover such a nice cherry note here. Thanks to Rumurmel for sharing and the opportunity to try such an old piece.

Nice soft warm rum. In the mouth especially dark notes of wood and chocolate with tropical fruits and some honey, all gently balanced. Many thanks to Rumurmel for this great sample!!!!!!

On the nose, little fruit, peach, some cherry. Honey sweetness and beautiful spice. Alcohol very restrained. On the palate, very nice oily consistency, mmmhhh, very smooth. Spicy with more peach, cherries, some leather, and good wood. Almost reminiscent of an old cognac. Great stuff.

Heute die letzte Nachverkostung. Flasche ist leer. Sehr komplexer Rum. Für sein Alter wenig Holz und kaum Bitterkeit. Dafür leicht fruchtig mit Leder Anteil. Schöner langer Abgang bis nur noch Holz und Leder bleiben.
