Surprisingly light for a 16-year Guyanese — that's the recurring note here. The pale color hints at it, and the glass follows through: light wood, caramel, a little chocolate and dried prune, gentle spice. The alcohol sits well integrated, but the finish fades fast and depth is thin. Pleasant and easy, just not the big Demerara punch the age suggests.

German Rum Festival 2025. Un nez de fruits jaunes et de fruits secs avec étonnamment peu de bois. Une belle douceur pâtissière qui pourrait faire penser à un Foursquare. L’entrée de bouche est douce et aromatique mais le manque de watts se fait sentir assez vite. Le rhum est plutôt équilibré, doux et savoureux. La finale est plutôt courte même si des arômes de fruits secs restent longtemps.

#5652 09.09.2025 Enjoying a few samples while watching TV. This is also a very light rum in my mind. Light wood with some light licorice and chocolate as well as some light prunes and dried fruit. Would have loved it with a higher ABV. German Rum Fest 2025 sample.

In keiner Weise unangenehm, aber insgesamt sehr leicht in seiner Ausprägung und wenig nachhaltig. Könnte ein Column Still Destillat sein, denn von den typischen PM-Markern ist meines Erachtens kaum was zu finden.

8,2:On the nose, roasted wood, smoky, with confectionery, leather, roasted nuts, caramel, spicy with vanilla, baking spices, anise, citrus fruits, flowery molasses, metallic patina, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the molasses turns more to vegetal side with pencil shavings, hay and tea, dried apricots and raisins arise, some cardboard. 7,9:On the palate, the attack is light, dry, oily, buttery with roasted wood notes like caramel, roasted nuts, chocolate, pastry, slightly sweet, then biscuits, later slightly resinous, fruity with dried, green fruits, coconut and plums, as the molasses is herbaceous, grassy, sweet with maple. 7,8:The finish is medium long, dry and tannic, as caramelized roasted wood notes, spicy, pair dried, citrus and green fruits, grassy molasses. Mhh vermutlich überladende Erwartungen durch die Marke bei mir. Aber das ist sehr seicht. Nicht schlecht gemacht, aber sehr eindimensional ohne Tiefe. Hatte bei dem Alter deutlich mehr erwartet. Nunja

Nachverkostung zur Messebewertung: Trotz des Alters eher leicht, vor allem im Gaumen. Die typischen Aromen Holz, Karamell, Gewürze und getrocknete Früchte sind dennoch von Nase bis Gaumen präsent; besondere herausstechende Aromen findet man jedoch nicht. Alkohol gut eingebunden

Joa. Nett, aber leider nicht das, was man von einem 16yp Uitvlugt erwarten würde. Die Farbe ist schon sehr hell, genauso wenig kommt in der Nase an. Leichte Süße, bißchen Frucht. Auf der Zunge kommt Holz dazu, eine leicht metallische, süßliche Note wie bei jungem Holz. Der Abgang ist sehr kurz, nach 2min hat man schon nichts mehr davon. Nicht schlecht, mehr aber auch nicht.
