Tasted this rum at the Sweden Rum Fest 2026. It’s first aged for 4 years in a ex-bourbon barrel whereafter it’s finished in a ex-Oloroso barrel for 10 more months. It’s bottled at full proof in just 271 bottles. The aroma as well as at the taste is dry, fruity, woody, spicy and sweet with scents and flavors of sherry, allspice and chocolate. The finish is rather long.

Rhum Clement is one of Martinique's most famous names, but Habitation Clement is no longer a working distillery. Distillation stopped here in 1989; the rum is made at Le Simon and, increasingly since 2017, at J.M's Fonds-Preville. What Habitation Clement is today is a beautiful aging estate and museum, where the brand's rum rests in oak under the gaze of its founder, Homere Clement.
