Tasted this rum with a rather unique cask finish at the Sweden Rum Fest 2026. It’s first aged for 4 years in a ex-bourbon barrel whereafter it’s finished in a ex-grappa barrelfrom for 10 months more. It’s bottled at full proof in just 293 bottles. The nose is complex, fruity, sweet, woody and smoky with scents of grapes, raisins, sugarcane and chocolate. At the palate it’s complex, oily, intense, fruity, sweet, nutty, woody, smoky and mineral with flavors of grappa, sugarcane and coffee. The finish is rather long and lingering.

#6788 14.05.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after my walk and visiting an old friend. Watching a program about Korea and their culture in music, movies etc. This is a pretty decent bottling with a grappe cask and the price tag is OK in mymind. A woody and smoky rum with nice floral, vegetal, chocolate and fruity notes.
