Really nice, well-made blend that suits the high average age very well. Ripe peach, dark berries, fresh ginger, and strong Earl Grey, plus dark chocolate and slightly floral citrus notes. Very good balance and pleasant to drink. By far my favorite of the Absolu releases so far. Grand Arome and Traditionnelle are very harmoniously combined!

8,3:On the nose, soap, flowery molasses, young roasted wood with chocolate, caramel, roasted nuts, some leather, spicy, cognac touch, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, metallic patina arises, various fruits like pineapple, strawberry, yellow fruits and orange peel, the molasses is herbaceous, earthy. 8,1:On the palate, the attack is spicy, oaky, pungent with esters, almost rotten fruits like pineapple, bitter orange, cognac's dried fruits, briny vegetal molasses, slightly flowery, spicy with chilli, roasted wood notes with dark chocolate, pastry, cognac 's leather, spicy with vanilla and pepper. 8,2:The finish is rather long, dry and tannic, furry with cognac's dried fruits and currants, grapes, leather, also tropical, citrus fruits, cherries, then roasted, oaky, spicy wood and notes like chocolate, vanilla, slightly smoky, vegetal molasses.

Savanna Masterclass. Dieser Savanna weiß echt zu überzeugen. In der Nase wirklich würzig und holzig, etwas Schokolade und Vanille sind erkennbar. Am Gaumen bleiben Holz und Würzigkeit erhalten. Echt ein guter Rum.

26.09.2025 Savanna tasting from Paris while attending the Whisky Live 2025. Nose Fresh, wood, light roasted, tannins, dried fruit, light anise, light floral, plum, light chocolate. Palate Fresh, oily, wood, light roasted, orange, light plum, dried fruit, light caramel, light chocolate, faint leather. Finish Long, wood, light orange, light leather, light chocolate, prunes, light sour.

Savanna Masterclass 26.09.2025 Edit: Nachverkostung. Schon besser als der Le Must, da einfach mehr Aromatik. Auch die typische Beeren-/Kaugummi-Noten sind dezent vorhanden. Am Ende aber auch am Gaumen nicht so ganz rund und der Alkohol ist nicht so gut eingebunden.

👃🏼 = Des arômes frais de fruits jaunes et rouges mûrs, de vanille, de torréfaction, du vernis boisé, un peu de tannins et des notes herbacées. 👄 = Passée l'attaque tonique j'ai du caramel, des fruits à coque, un peu de chocolat et plus de fruits rouges. La finale est longue, pâtissière et un peu mielleuse. Bien joué Savanna pour ce mélange harmonieux des 3 types de rhums produits par la distillerie 👍

Nachverkostung des RumX Savanna Sample Sets. Auch hier eine solide Abfüllung und vom Gedächtnis her, wenn ich richtig liege, sogar ein paar Cent billiger als der 24er. Gut, aber nichts was ich brauchen würde.

Great savanna blend . Wonderfully fruity nose with strawberries, pineapple and cherry. There is also a slight ester note and a light pine note or coniferous wood in general. On the palate Chewing gum, strawberries pineapple and oak which then turns slightly into coniferous wood and some eucalyptus in the mouth. Very nice, I like it better than expected.

Rumx X Savanna. Blend de 4 casks : 1 agricole de 11 ans (18%), 1 Grand arome de 10 ans (20%), 13 yo trad (40%), 15 yo trad (20%), plus ou moins. Au nez le côté herbacé domine les fruits, mais en bouche ils reviennent fort avec un gros côté empyreumathique. Une finale longue, avec quelques épices, et un bel équilibre. Plutot simple à boire. Un effort sur le prix de Savanna, en dessous de 200€ la bouteille ! merci à l'équipe.

Savanna-Tasting am 26.09.2025 – Es wurden acht Samples verkostet und fachkundig erklärt. Der Savanna-Hype ist irgendwie mal wieder an mir vorbeigegangen, aber es war ein wirklich großartiges Event. Vielen Dank an RumX und das Savanna-Team – gerne mehr davon! Die Savannas sind wahre Könner und Handwerker. Komplex, 60 % Vol., die am Gaumen schmeicheln. Die Arbeit mit verschiedenen Stilrichtungen wie Creole, Traditionell und HERR führt zu einer Vielfalt, wie sie nur wenige Brennereien bieten. Alles top-notch! Nummer 6 hat mir super gefallen. Würze, Komplexität, Savanna läuft zur Hochform auf. Toll wie aus Agricole und HERR ein interessantes Produkt entsteht.

Kein Ester Savanna, das wird schnell deutlich. Eher ein sehr fasslastiger Vertreter, der mit viel dunklen Früchten, kräftiger Eiche und trockenen Aromen vom Fass über die Nase ebenso in den Gaumen wandert. Die 58% braucht er für den volumigen Körper, die sind allerdings nicht so richtig perfekt eingebunden. Alles in allem ein edler Vertreter, der an alter Ledersofas, Zedernholz und Zigarren erinnert - wuchtig und fast zu kräftig auftritt aber genau so einen Abend perfekt begleiten wird.
