A l ouverture de la bouteille , mon opignon était positive car je l avais trouvé bien fruité, des Esters comme j aime et surtout pas le côté assez fumé que j avais déjà eu avec cette distillerie. A la demi bouteille les notes de dégustation sont plus précises: il est entre un Savanna pour son fruité exotique/ fraise et entre un Jamaïcain estherisé fruité. La dessus un acidulé citron, de la saumure et un léger fumé. Bon rapport qualité/prix

A nice Grand Arome, which can’t quite keep up with the Savanna bottlings, but beats them by far in price comparison. For me a good alternative before I senselessly chase after the Savannas and have to take their crappy bottles too.

8,6:On the nose, esters, tropical and red fruits with strawberry, cherry, fermented, sweet sugarcane with honey, grassy, roasted wood notes like cream toffee, roasted nuts, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, citrus fruits arise, dairy notes, caramel, smoky and spicy tones, the cane is briny...balanced. 8,5:On the palate, the attack is quite intense with esters, fermented banana, red(strawberry) and citrus fruits(lemon), sweet cane with honey, briny olive.The wood is roasted with nuts, caramel, chocolate, smoky, spicy, when the rum is well rested, dairy notes and vinegar are out. 8,6:The finish is long, dry&tannic, as roasted oak with confectionery, caramelized, spicy with allspice, smoky, medicinal with phenol, esters, pairs briny sugar cane with olive, hay and tropical, berries, citrus fruits and plums. mein erster poh spirits rum. in der Nase eher stechend, am Gaumen jedoch sehr gefällig, fruchtig und mundfüllend adstringent. joghurt- erdbeercreme dominiert hier das aromenfeld. einige scharfe spitzen kommen während des genusses hier und da mal auf. der abgang ist warm und erstaunlich lang. man ist der süffig!

Ein Le Galion Grand Arõme mit reichlich Ester und tropischen Früchten, die sich von der Nase bis zum Abgang durchziehen. Einer der wenigen, die nicht mit ungewöhnlichen Aromen wie Butter, Käse etc. überraschen. Fast schon gefällig.

Great rum from an IB unknown to me until now. Can't quite compete with the top Grand Aromes from Savanna, but still really fun with the typical markers and a great value for money.

👃 = immediately the full amplitude of the grand arôme offers itself to the nose with ripe tropical fruits (pineapple, mango, banana), esters, green olive and a winey note. 👄 = the palate is invaded by a sunny, fruity, lemony alcohol, a slight woodiness with a decent length enhanced by pepper and very lightly vanilla.

Nose of brown sugar, tropical fruits. The palate is a bit spicy with some bitterness and a borderline astringency. Definitely, Galion is not my cup of tea.
