The bomb! While the nose is largely dominated by TDL fruit, with Caroni tar in the background, the palate gradually brings Jamaica to the front of the palate, with pineapple in particular. A good pinch of spice, a finish of fruit, menthol and intense spicy notes. The wood is quite well blended, almost masked by the power of the rest. A titanic vintage!

The Titan….der Name kündigt Großes an… mal schauen.

💎 Famille Ricci - The Titan 2025 - 59.6% A titanic blend of : 30% TDL 34 years 25% Hampden 42 years 25% Clarendon 41 years 20% Caroni 34 years Faced with such a blend, the question arises: genius or waste? In the end, it's a masterly success. The integration of the different rums is astonishing: each expresses itself without overpowering the other. A rare harmony. My only downside is the name. With "Titan", one expects a monster of exuberance and explosion. Here, we're dealing with the exquisite, with absolute, almost ethereal finesse. Personally, I would have called it Sublissime. Naturally, the price of the original juices skyrockets. So it was a real privilege to be able to taste it at the show - because, alas, I won't be able to afford it!

A clash of titans on the nose and in the taste. When I saw the mixed numbers, I wondered if it was a shame to mix the ingredients. But the resulting clash is surprisingly complex.. it works, it has many layers that gradually assert themselves.. it's fun.. and expensive..

A real clash of the titans! A nose that battles hard between Jamaica and Trinidad, with aromas that range from roasted pineapple to blackcurrant and menthol, but with no clear winner, and a "dirty" or "carony" background. On the palate, a powerful attack quickly fades, giving way to the fruit on the nose. A herbaceous note is added on the palate, with a touch of empyreumatic complexity. The long finish remains soft and delicate, with menthol, bitter orange zest and elegant wood giving an insatiable desire to return. The basic juices make the price soar, but what a joy to have such a shock in a glass.

SITS 2025 Caroni and Clarendon nose. After a while Hampden comes trough. Medium to long finish. Fun, but you can't taste the age. Way overpriced imo.
Review by Jacques etdom
Finale interminable. Une belle bete !
