#5871 18.10.2025 Relaxing with a few samples in front of the computer. Nose Medium intense, light alcoholic, round, light caramel, light wood, light bourbon, faint nutts, light orange. Palate Light oily, warm, round, balanced, light dried fruit, light bourbon, spice, light caramel, medium dry, light nutts. Finish Long and warm, light wood, light bourbon, faint sour, light caramel, medium dry, light orange. Empty glass Light orange, spice, light nutts, vanilla, light caramel. Need to rest for a while after which the ABV is very well integrated. You can also add a few drops of water.

RumX community meeting August October 2025. A good rum. Unfortunately, the bourbon cask is again too dominant. Has some tropical fruits and esters, also very floral, but that's unfortunately all.

Really impressive bottling. Always great to see that German distillers can now produce good rums. And at such a price, that’s remarkable. Curious to see how it will develop in the barrel.

Zusammen mit dem Brandy-Cask verkostet. Trotz etwas höherem Alkoholgehalt angenehmer im Mund. Ebenso komplexer, viele Ester, vor allem saure/bittere Zitrusfrüchte, wobei das nicht negativ ausfällt. Dazu eine Spur Gewürze, sodass ein fast winterlicher Gesamteindruck entsteht, der mir gut gefällt!

Ein junger wilder von Feller. War noch ein Sample von letzten GRF… Nase: hui, der hohe Alkoholgehalt schneidet doch ein wenig, gar nicht so leicht, da Feinheiten raus zu holen. Vordergründig Zitrusfrüchte und die sehr künstlich wie Zitronat. Spüli. Hat dadurch auch eine künstliche Süße von Zuckersirup. Leicht Vanille von der recht kurzen Fasslagerung. Mir zu künstlich-zitronatig. 7,1 Gaumen: natürlich erstmal warm und ölig, dann aber doch eher auf der vegatiblen Seite. Etwas bitter -Limettenschale- mit etwas grantinger Geranie und vielleicht leicht in Richtung Koriander und Kardamom, ein Hauch Kümmel mit Zucker-Süße. Im Abgang Mandarine. Unerwartet, handwerklich garantiert vom Feinsten, aber holt mich nicht ab. 7,1

Sehr schöner und charaktervoller Rum! In der Nase direkt intensive Bourbonfass-Noten mit Vanille, Karamell, etwas Holz und tropischen Früchten. Am Gaumen kräftig und intensiv, dabei erstaunlich gut eingebunden für die 74,8 % Vol. Dazu kommen Ester, Frucht, Würze und eine angenehme Süße. Für mich eine richtig starke Abfüllung und definitiv ein Rum, den man in Ruhe genießen sollte. Klarer Kauftipp für Liebhaber kräftiger Fassstärke-Rums! 🥃🔥
