#6766 08.05.2026 Relaxing with some evening samples while listening to som enice Psy Trance tracks on Spotify. Price to quality you get a lot for your money if you like rums with a serious punch. A medium intense profile where the brandy is nicely integrated with the fruits, nutts and chocolate. If you think it is too big a hammer then try to add a few drops of water.

RumX community meeting eight October 2025. So this could be a really good rum, but unfortunately this Brandy Cask Finish overshadows everything here. Just tastes too much like brandy, unfortunately, so not such a high rating.

7,7:On the nose, quite hot, alcoholic, hints of brandy, roasted wood with burnt sugar, chocolate, leather, spicy with allspice, barrel impact is strong, grapes, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the rum is thick with molasses, dark with licorice, cocoa, caramel are out, also dried fruits. 7,3:On the palate, the attack is intense, alcoholic with brandy notes, perhaps fruit vodka or schnapps hints, roasted wood notes like caramel, chocolate, nuts, leather, spicy with allspice, fruits like dried and citrus, grapes, as the molasses is vegetal with green peppers, flowery and grassy, dark with black tea.When the rum is well oxidized, vinegar notes come out, synthetic tones. 7,7:The finish is medium long, more balanced, quite acidic, dry and tannic, the wood is roasted, smoky, spicy and slightly resinous, the barrel impact stays strong, as the fruits are dried and some sour cherry might be noticed. A brandy cask from Feller. I'm absolutely not into finishes, but what Feller does with his casks makes sense. The influence of the brandy is there, quite dominant, but the caramel base character of the rum is still present. Overall the rum is still very young and high proof, which is noticeable in the mouth. A somewhat longer maturation in a bourbon barrel would not have hurt the rum in my eyes. Still a good and above all honest rum, I like Feller products!
