A small superficial comparison tasting between the three newest Rhum Rhum RX25045, RX25046, and RX26410 Roberto would put it like this: RX26410 > RX25045 >> RX25046 Yes, the RX25045 is, in my opinion, just slightly behind the superb RX26410. And the longer it sits in the glass, the closer it gets to it; it feels just as powerful but fruitier. The RX25046 is also very tasty, but for me, it falls a bit short due to its lower ABV and the resulting lower aroma intensity. All three are recommendable bottlings.

Whisky Live Paris 2025. A fresh, vegetal, fruity nose with woody undertones. Young woods, sour apple, and a salty, spicy side complete the picture. The palate is rather restrained, then the aromas rise, still supported by wood. Lots of vegetal notes, still sour apple, an earthy side and something like black olives, quite surprising and lingering on the finish. A long finish with nuts coming through at the very end.

Many expectations for this Liberation 2024 but more or less it has the same aromatic profile as almost all its predecessors! Definitely a really well-made rum but this time I was expecting something different, some extra flavor or spark that I missed! Still, it remains really pleasant to drink!

Small X-tasting: clearly better than the diluted variant RX25046. The variety of aromas is even greater and above all more intense, with perfectly integrated alcohol at the same time. If anything, only this bottling can be a purchase!

Nose Light wood, faint roasted, light apple, spice, light vegetal, sugarcane, light mineral. Palate Fresh, light spicy, light wood, faint chocolate, appl, light nutts, light floral, sugarcane, light olive, faint smoke. Finish Medium long, light wood, light floral, light peppery, light chocolate. Empty glass Light floral, chocolate, light nutts, light floral, olive.

The nose has a somewhat strawberry-like note with a peppery hint for me. Quite good to drink on the palate. There's a trace of sulfur and in my opinion, it's pretty well balanced. No overwhelming dominance of any component.

Whisky Live Paris 2025 - EDIT home tasting confirms score Finally back. There's an unusual almost salty note that surprises me, but then it is 100% RRL. Way better than 2020, the long ageing did not impair the profile. The floral side disappears in this high ABV release, more wood, vanilla and pralines. The palate has a clear salty note, along with spices and the alcool burn, again pralines and some sulphur. Great dram

Now the stronger Liberation... and as expected, it comes across significantly bolder. The nose is a bit more closed and needs more time in the glass. On the palate, it is much more present and develops, in addition to the Agricole notes, some nice dark fruit aromas. The finish is classic Agricole again. It is clearly better but doesn't quite reach the top bottlings of the Liberation range.

A concentrated grenadine and old wood profile, with a soft and indulgent attack. The wood is well balanced, enhanced by a slight touch of acidity that brings some pep. Tasted at the end of the day, surprise: I preferred the reduced version, more harmonious than the Full Proof, despite its extra watts!

Nose, palate, and finish are in every way more intense than the little brother with 45%. Alcohol very present, but not too intrusive. In direct comparison, the 45% version tastes a bit thin. I clearly belong to the faction that prefers the Integrale for all vintages of the Liberation.

This bottling compared to the successfully reduced version RX25046. The color is, as expected, stronger here. A yellow gold with a distinctly brownish tint. The first nose impression shows a significantly more present ABV compared to the other. The aroma is wood-dominated. Along with a nice freshness and floral nuances. Seems drier in comparison. On the palate, strong woody and spicy aromas. All underlined by a subtle cane sugar sweetness. This aroma also in the long finish. Impressive. The vegetal/green aromas are also present at the end of the finish, but to a lesser extent compared to the reduced version. Overall, the integral gets one more point from me due to the nice strong aroma and the intensity of the finish. If the ABV were less noticeable on the nose, the gap would be bigger.

The nose is very similar to the reduced version. On the palate, however, it's fuller, more intense, and woodier. There's also a sweet start here, but then chocolate and wood come through more than fruit. The pear appears a bit later along with grassy, floral undertones. Towards the finish, more and more vegetal notes emerge. I like it a bit better compared to the reduced version.

Big brother Integrale - typical RhumRhum notes: dried fruit, wood, dark fruits, full-bodied. Alcohol very well integrated. Unlike older releases (2015, 2017) it doesn't hold up, but still a nice Bielle representative.
