Toasted oak, chocolate and a pile of baking spice — cardamom, allspice, nutmeg — over dried apricot and raisin, with grassy sugarcane hanging in the background. Nearly ten years of tropical aging in virgin American oak makes this J.M ripe and woody, but there's enough spice and cane freshness to keep it lively. A spicy Rhum J. M that knows how to please. Pleasant to enjoy and not too demanding. On the palate, it spreads lightly and softly with low alcohol sharpness. In the late finish, slightly vegetal agricole notes appear.

On the nose: Woody,toasted and spicy at first, but once this rum opens up you get also chocolate notes, dried fruit notes and little bit of citrus notes. It still has that fresh grassy agricole note at the background. Taste: Somekind of industrial spice mixat first, but once you hold it, the notes become clearer. Cardamom, mace, light nutmeg, light sugarcane in the background and woody notes. Dried fruits. Finish: Cardamom, woody notes and allspice notes and then it feel like hot spicebomb in your mouth and then it dries quickly. This one was interesting experience in a wierd way. For a lack of a better word, Quite a spicebomb.

#6345 02.02.2026 Finally home from a long workday near Copenhagen. Luckily the drive there and back we hit the perfect timing 😊 This is a really nice cask they have found. Overall good balance with nice fruits, light smoke and some chocolate notes. Herbs and sugarcane is also there but stayind in the background.

Eine richtige Gewürzbombe mit Kardamom, Piment und Muskatblüte. In der Nase viel Schokolade, Karamell, getrocknete Früchte und Holz. Im Gaumen dann der stärkste Gewürzeinfluss mit getrockneten Früchten und Zuckerrohr. Alkohol super eingebunden!

8,8:On the nose, toasted wood with caramel, perhaps cream toffee, chocolate, roasted nuts, confectionery, buttery, flowery, mineral, earthy, grassy sugar cane, sweet with honeycomb, perhaps candied, dried fruits like raisins and apricots, coconut, orange peel, balanced, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the cane is herbaceous, the wood slightly resinous, spicy with vanilla, crème brûlée might pop out, so do tons of fruits like banana, mango, perhaps peaches, citrus fruits like grapefruit. 8,6:On the palate, the attack is slightly sweet with sugarcane, mineral, flowery, various roasted wood notes like cream toffee, perhaps butterscotch, pastry, creamy with vanilla, spicy with cardamom, allspice, perhaps nutmeg, peppery, slightly resinous, fruity with dried apricots, currants, citrus fruits like lime, berries, we notice gummi candies, as the cane becomes vegetal, grassy, herbaceous, candied with licorice, when the rum is well oxidized. 8,6:The finish is long, dry and tannic, with toasted wood notes like chocolate, nuts, praline, caramel, biscuits, pairing sweet sugar cane honey, mineral, grassy, waxy and tons of various fruits.

Discovered at the VIP lounge of the Limoges Spirits Festival 2025. 👃 Toasted wood, dried fruits, orchard fruits and rather light citrus in concentration. Caramelized aspect, beeswax, candied cane, toffee, chocolate. Relative freshness of fruit tree flowers. Nice, quite monolithic agricole nose. 😋 Totally in line with the nose. Cooking spices (pepper, clove), well-present fruits (apricot, mango, persimmon), citrus, roasted nuts, cinnamon with burnt sugar, a touch of camphor (also floral notes), ginger and varnish. ⛳ Aging in new American oak barrels brings grilled wood, warm and alcoholic sugarcane, praline caramel and vanilla, also chocolatey. Notes of orchard fruits (apricot) and citrus (orange, lime). Earthy cane texture, cooking spices. 💡 Rather fine, delicate and quite complex. However, I find the olfactory markers lack intensity and the alcohol is a bit too present.

There you go, finally the photo is here and not a time out. You're going too fast @oliver. It really took me a bit to recognize it as an Agricole :) But then it was clear, slightly spicy and woody, really tasty...

Wow, awesome nose!! 😀😀 Mint, solvent, a hint of dirty Caroni feeling. Chocolate, dried fruits. Very spicy. Maybe a bit too strong, but very complex. Very oily and slightly alcoholic on the palate. Spicy, fresh, cookie dough. A wild ride. Long finish. Spicy, chocolate, and cookie dough. Great JM!! Complex, spicy, and wild. 😀

Great J.am Single Cask, clear agricole aromatics with an intense vanilla note on the finish. Still shows its youthful strength, but at the same time already pleasantly influenced by the cask and overall strikes a nice balance between complexity and elegance. Great cask.

I'm a fan of the J.M profile, and in my opinion, they have one of the best cask managements among the Agricole distilleries. Nearly 10 years tropical aging in Virgin Oak is definitely a statement, so the profile is correspondingly mature and woody. However, there are enough counterpoints in the form of spices and grassy notes to keep it interesting. The intensity is surprisingly high for the ABV. The usual high quality from J.M.
