"An amazing nose" is where nearly everyone lands — dried fruit, raisins, plums, a little caramel and vanilla. It's a 24-year Guadeloupe cane-juice rum that smells rich and pastry-like, then turns gentler and a touch thin on the palate, with wet oak, spice and tobacco. Smooth, dessert-leaning, and easy; a few tasters wished the mouth kept the promise the nose makes.

14.11.2025 Finishing off the rest of the sample I have and I still like it a lot. ------------ Sitting at home relaxing a bit and decided to give this sample a go. Now I have to spend 400 euro to get my hands on a bottle, because that's how good it is. The nose is complex and very well balanced between fruit, spice, grass and very light oak. The palate takes off where the nose ends. Complex and well balanced with fruit and some grass and spice and again very light oak. The finish is medium to long with spices, tobacco and a hint of oak. Price to quality is very good in my mind. A great rhum Agricole and if you like Agricole you have to try this one.

I expected more from this rum.. Throughout the tasting, it's a bit flat, with vegetal and woody flavors, but there's a hint of fruit that helps it out!

I don't get to taste a rum distilled before I was born every day... This one offers a very soft nose. A clear woodiness. Dried and candied fruits. Makes you really want to try it. Nose confirmed on the palate with candied fruits drowned in wood, with discreet spices. Then, an impression of leather and tobacco. As well as buttery scents. Very pleasant.

an amazing nose, dried fruits, raisins, plums. Very balanced and smooth. The expectation is high after a while sniffing the rum. There is caramel and vanilla. It looses on the palate. Still dried fruits, the caramel, chocolate. I have to say it is still very nice and balanced, smooth. A perfect digestive. But the expectations have been so high. It just doesn’t match the expectations. Finish is short, au revoir. May be like a date with a beautiful french girl/boy on a cote d‘azur trip. Fantasy, imagination before you enter the hotel room, then so la la, gone.

Despite the relatively low ABV, quite full-bodied and intense – dried fruits meet fresh apricot, along with heavy chocolate sweetness and bitter spice and roast notes. Nice rum, but what mainly bothers me is the price – there are comparable quality bottlings available at a much more affordable range.

A nose heavily focused on spices, with a background of candied tropical fruits and woodiness. A palate that matches the nose, with an earthy/peaty side that gradually takes over. The finish is long and gives way to a progressive bitterness that gradually stifles the spicy and fruity side.

This one was a surprise. A complex rum yet a rum that's subtle and easy and smooth on the palate. The nose is very fruity with cane and candied fruits and a hint of licorice. The palate is very well balanced as well as complex, yet smooth. Fruity with spices, nuts and leather and a hint of tobacco, yum. The finish is medium to long with spices, raisin and tobacco. Price to quality is pretty good.

Very pleasant and truly indulgent nose. The palate is not lacking power as some say, very indulgent too. Medium length. An easy and indulgent rum and not too weak as I have read. Edit: I clearly find prune on the nose, the palate is less obvious to discern for my palate but very indulgent and pastry-like, soft, very easy but the alcohol is definitely there perfectly integrated. The length is medium on the same notes.
