I think that everyone should give this rum a second chance. I was one of the many not so satisfied guys who tried this 3rd Magnum series releases at Whisky Live Paris. Well i have to say that drinking it at home changes my score in a significant way. This is not the best LROK releases, that's sure, but it's pretty good with the load of overripe banana, ananas, esters and spices that are usual of this mark. Just two flaws that keeps this rum far from the higher marks, and let us question ourselves about the price. That is, the nose is a bit shy, and there is some bitterness on the palate.

#5703 27.09.2025 Day one of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This one was even more disappointing, but that's how things usually develop over time. The balance is ok, but the ABV could have been better integrated. Fruity with light wood and some spices as well as a hint of floral notes.

It is composed of four Hampden rums, aged 4 to 9 years, all bottled at 60%: DOK 2021 HGML 2018 <>H 2017 LROK 2016 If I had to pick one, it would be the <>H 2017, with a beautiful natural sweetness, well balanced and fruity, even if it lacks a bit of length on the palate. On the taste level, this series is nothing revolutionary, but it stands out by its magnificent labels signed by Cristina de Middel, which enhance the Hampden distillery through her artistic vision.
