One taster called it "banana split type aroma" — that's the heart of this Hampden <>H: ripe banana and pineapple, esters, a little glue, some cream and creme brulee. At 60% it runs warm with a medium finish. A few noticed a touch of bitterness and milkiness, but several rank it the pick of the third Magnum series.

#5704 27.09.2025 Day one of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This is usually my favourite mark and I had hoped for more than I actually got. Nicely balanced and fruity with esters, glue and some spices. The finish is medium to long and warm. There is a nice naturaly sweetness in the profile.

I think that everyone should give this rum a second chance. I was one of the many not so satisfied guys who tried this 3rd Magnum series releases at Whisky Live Paris. Well i have to say that drinking it at home changes my score in a significant way. Maybe the best of the 3rd release, this <>H is Ester driven (Crystal Ball), with wild strawberries that are added to the usual bouquet of esters, ananas and banana. The only flaw, a touch of bitterness and milkyness

It consists of four Hampden rums, aged from 4 to 9 years, all bottled at 60%: DOK 2021 HGML 2018 <>H 2017 LROK 2016 If I had to pick one, it would be the <>H 2017, endowed with a beautiful natural sweetness, well balanced and fruity, even if it lacks a bit of length on the palate. In terms of taste, this series is nothing revolutionary, but it stands out thanks to its magnificent labels signed by Cristina de Middel, which glorify the Hampden distillery through her artistic vision.

Potent banana split type aroma. A little oak, plenty of cream. Some caramel, creme brulee. Pours dark golden.the mouth brings on rich tropical fruit aromas. Tangerine, passion fruit. I love that H. Medium finish.
