#5707 27.09.2025 Day one of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This was nice surprise and pretty good compared to the regular Chamarel's out there. Nice and fruity with light wood, apricot and some nice herbal notes. in between the sugarcane notes there is a light medicinal note and faint varnish.

Messetasting Whisky Live Paris. Eindrücke und Bewertung basieren auf unmittelbaren Eindrücken aus dem Tastingglas. Ansprechende Tendenz, die Chamarel hier aufzeigt. Das Profil harmoniert gut mit dem Ex-Bourbon-Fass und weist eine angenehme Balance auf zwischen den klassischen Melasserumnoten und dem Agricole-Stil.

HV Chamarel 2017 – 65% Pleasant and fruity, with a slight varnish note. Not bad at all, but nothing mind-blowing. HV Rainforest 2024 – 62% Discovery of a new Philippine distillery! Made from pure cane juice “manpu”, fermented long (10 to 12 days) with addition of dunder and muck, distilled in pot still, then aged in white wine (chardonnay) barrels. Bottled at 62% and limited to 1,500 bottles. A nice surprise: the alcohol integration is successful despite the youth. Notes of licorice and olive stand out, and it makes you want to see what this distillery can offer with a bit more maturity.
