T.D.L Planteray Prestige Cellar (LMDW) 2000
Most tasters land around "very well made" without quite falling for it. It's a classic Trinidad TDL profile: menthol and eucalyptus, mango and banana, cedar and oak, with a little smoke and chocolate underneath. The cognac finish rounds it out nicely. The recurring gripe is a short finish and less depth than earlier TDL 2000 releases at the same age.

How does T.D.L Planteray Prestige Cellar (LMDW) 2000 taste?
Aggregated from 26 community reviews.
Minty, fruity 25-year Trinidad, short finish Genuinely good, balanced 25-year TDL — minty, fruity, woody, with well-integrated alcohol. Most agree the finish runs short and it lacks the complexity of the best 2000 vintages.

Whisky Live Paris 2025.

Abgang sehr kurz, schnell weg.

#5726 28.09.2025 Day two of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. A pretty well made TDL with nice minty notes and well balanced ABV and wood. Among the fruits I can pick up is light banana, some cherry and faint mango. There is a very faint honey note in the profile.

Sehr guter 2000er TDL

Tasted on the occasion of Whisky Live Paris 2025. On the nose, a typical TDL profile, menthol and eucalyptus for me, oak, caramel and tropical fruits in the back. Very flavorful on the palate, good balance between sweet and dry, eucalyptus is omnipresent, over aromas gravitate around it. You can feel the alcohol but it's not bothering. The more I get into it, the oak is coming out more and more, it's getting a bit more tannic and bitter. The finale is medium-long, oak and menthol. I can understand why it was given the current note (8.4 at the moment), considering the price point, but I think it still performs well, despite the not do long finale, the alcohol small bite, and it could be more complex on the palate.

Whisky Live Paris 2025 - to be tasted again to confirm score and notes This is a nice selection, here the cognac pairs well with the usual TDL fruitiness. Maybe not the best 2000 but overall a solid release. Unfortunately the price is way is way too High.

Very pleasant TDL, minty, sweet, fruity, woody. And I get a touch of technicality at the tail end of tje taste.
